Taken on a walk around Messingham nature reserve

Every year during Dec/Jan I definitely try to do a juicing photo session because of the abundant fresh fruits and vegetables which is available only in winter here. I somehow missed editing these images from last year. And I am just not clicking anything with food these days, so i started uploading some snaps from last years. Hope you like this background.

Similar but…

This photo was taken at Rumbling Bridge, which can be reached by continuing to walk beyond The Hermitage.

For this shot, I wanted to keep the plants in the foreground and the rocks in the background in focus, while blurring the movement of the water… all while hand-holding my camera. It was taken at 1/10 of a second.

I’m quite pleased with the result.

My Texture - 223

This is a tight frame of the amazing exterior of the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum in Seattle, WA. If this looks familiar, a similar image was part of the standard Windows 7 desktop backgrounds. I had quite the ah-ha moment when I realized that.

When world-renowned architect Frank O. Gehry designed EMP, he was inspired to create a structure that evoked the rock 'n' roll experience without being too literal. He purchased several electric guitars, sliced them into pieces, and used them as structural elements for an early model design. Visitors can still see the influence of the instrument in the museum's wildly undulating, brightly colored facade.
