I love Milwaukee homes and all of the beautiful awnings. I went around taking photos of them but only about 1/2 turned out because of the unpredictable nature of this long-expired film.

My neighbor's attempt to make some shade. Unfortunately we have had some serious wind lately. One man's awning is another man's sail. The last windstorm blew another of his awnings into the next county somewhere. It is fun to watch them take the wind and billow. I guess I'm easily entertained. I also love watching my other neighbor's 8 chicken flock and their unending antics.
Slow work is being done to either fix up or demolish this old building. It's been an eyesore for I don't know how long. Some workers finally took off the awning that was probably meant for customers when this place was a gas station. It remained there when the place was a service shop. But in the last few years it has served as a parking lot for the bakery in the white building in the background.
I will try to keep tabs on whatever happens to this place as best as I can.
