A blue and white awning covers the blue skies and provides shade over an outdoor picnic area at Siesta Key beach in Florida.
Low angle light casting the shadow of a shop awning onto a nearby wall. The sun was a couple of minutes minutes away from sinking below rooftop level at this point.

HSS! adjusted/angled a rainbow color filter in ippicy and added color vibrance.
Glass awning, NYC. Taken after rain using a polarizer to bring out the color. The patterns are from the skyscraper across the street as seen through the glass and droplets.
Church homestead
A church from year 1742, Zarubyntski village of Monastyryshchenskyi district of Cherkasska Region
The building comprises of three rooms: a groove + nave + altar. The church is made of hewn oak bars, three-domed. The central dome is the highest one, with two logjams. Crosses, crescents and flowers were retained on the domes. Awning bars have decorative intersections. The central log-building is eight-squared, vertically elongated, its side framing facetted. It has four levels, with an open lantern blind in its interior; side frames are of three levels, with a lantern blind. The obvious inclination of the log walls brings the whole composition to a single center – an axis of the main tower. There have never been any additional buildings before the entrance to the church, and doors were always in plain view. Especial attention has been paid on decoration thereof.
Inside of the church is divided into three parts: the groove, the nave (middle part) and the altar. The groove is the entrance area, permitted for those who repented and adherent, as well as those who prepared themselves to christening.
The five-level altar screen combines monumental engraving and sophisticated painting. An original altar screen of 18th Century sustained damage. Although, two engraved columns, several frames and two icons survived in its apostolic row to become a basis for reconstruction of the whole iconostasis.
Church was a heart of every town. It was a place of keeping books; it was a religious and an administrative building at the same time. The matters of human life were resolved here. The church houses Ukrainian orthodox divine services since 1990.
A fence of pine-tree half-beams fixed to piles. Top of the fence is covered by double-slope roofing made of wooden lathing. The gates and doors in front of entrance to the church are covered by roofing with an icon.

Церква 1742 року, з села Зарубинці Монастирищенського району Черкаської області.
Тридільна: бабинець + нава + вівтар. Рублена з дубових тесаних брусів, триверха. Центральна баня вища, має два заломи. На маківках збереглися хрести з півмісяцями і квітками. Бруси карнизів на банях різьблені «косицями». Центральний зруб в плані має форму восьмерика, видовженого по вертикалі, бічні зруби гранчасті. Центральний зруб чотирьох ярусний, із відкритим в інтер’єрі сліпим ліхтарем, бічні зруби триярусні, з сліпим ліхтарем. Добре помітний нахил стін зрубів, який наче збирає всю композицію до єдиного центру – вісі головного зрубу. Перед входом до церкви ніяких прибудов не було, і двері знаходились завжди на виду. Тому на їх художнє оформлення звертали особливу увагу.
Всередині храм ділиться на три частини: притвор (бабинець), середній храм (нава), вівтар. Притвором зветься західна частина храму (від входу), де стояли ті, що каялися і оглашені, або ті, що готувались до хрещення.
В п'ятиярусному іконостасі поєднується монументальна різьба з витонченим живописом, різьблений позолочений іконостас ХУШ ст. зазнав втрат. В апостольському ряді збереглися дві різьблені колонки, різьблені рами і дві ікони, що стали основою для реконструкції всього іконостасу.
Основою любого міста, села був храм. Місце, де зберігалися книги. Храм був одночасно будівлею релігійною і адміністративною, де вирішувалися питання життя людини. З 1990 року у церкві відбуваються богослужіння українського православного обряду.
Огорожа в закидку сосновими плахами по стовпах. Зверху огорожа накрита двосхилим дашком, критим дранкою. Навпроти входу в церкву ворота та двері, накриті дашком з іконою.
Bright green striped awnings sprining out from the shops around Sha Tin Square, to protect pedestrians from the sun and rain. In Hong Kong, both were frequent occurrences!
