had to go to Colchester today so popped by abberton reservoir it was grey and gloomy day and had real trouble trying to show some detail on these pied wagtails I took around 60 shots but only managed a few decent shots

Well, last weekend while on my way home, I saw this lovely meadow filled with Black Eyed Susan. When I stopped to check it out, I found Lemon Mint and a thistle (probably the invasive musk thistle) and a few clasping coneflowers.
I had to try to capture it...so I have this closeup on to the Lemon Mint, I also have a field view at a higher angle that may make an appearance later.
Please note, this was shot with my 80-400 lense from 20-30 feet away...due to a No-Trespassing sign and an electric fence...so composition was mostly of limited control.
Is a lil project I started working on a couple of months ago. The Heygate estate is Europe's biggest abandoned housing estate it's very similar to the projects in queens New York, it's located in south London in case any szers wanna pay a visit. The estate is currently being demolished as part of the regeneration of the Elephant and Castle area. It was home to more than 3,000 people. The Heygate is well known for being one of the starkest examples of post-war urban decay in the United Kingdom. Its notoriety has led to it being used frequently as a filming location for music videos and movies. This magpie-robin is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from Bangladesh, interior India, Sri Lanka and eastern Pakistan east to Indonesia, Thailand, south China, Singapore and the Philippines.They have been introduced to Australia. The Oriental Magpie Robin is found in open woodland, cultivated areas often close to human habitations.
