where it leads to nobody knows

Explore, Apr 20, #468!

We suffer primarily not from our vices or our weaknesses, but from our illusions. We are haunted, not by reality, but by those images we have put in their place.

( WOW! my highest ever Explore #70 Thank you all so much my wonderful Flickr Friends)

Don't go trying some new fashion

Don't change the color of your hair

You always have my unspoken passion

Although I might not seem to care

Look Ma, I can do the swing!...Orangutans are the only exclusively Asian living genus of great ape. They are among the most intelligent primates and use a variety of sophisticated tools, also making sleeping nests each night from branches and foliage. They are generally not aggressive and live a mostly solitary life foraging for food. They are the largest living arboreal animals with longer arms than other great apes. Their hair is typically reddish-brown, instead of the brown or black hair typical of other great apes.

They say the best place to take flower pictures is at your local nursery. I agree. We didn't buy any of these flowers, but aren't they spectacular?

Someday when I'm awfully low

When the world is cold

I will feel a glow

Just thinking of you

And the way you look tonight

From a sudden (though ancient) recollection of a song by Steeleye Span...

Common Australian term for this water bird.

Odonates (Odonata), or odonatoptères are an order of insects with elongated body, with two pairs of membranous wings generally transparent, and whose large compound eyes and usually allow them to hunt their prey efficiently. They are terrestrial and aquatic as adults in the larval stage. They are predators that may be encountered occasionally in all types of natural environment, but which are found more frequently around areas of fresh water to brackish, stagnant low current, they need to reproduce.

My favorite photo of all time. Why? Because of its simplicity and how this simple picture conveys a deeper emotion. A simple yet intricately entertwined hands says as if this is FOREVER. This is LOVE.

Dolichopodidae, the long-legged flies, make up a large family of true flies with more than 7,000 described species in about 230 genera distributed worldwide.

Returned today from a two-day/two-night hospital stay. Severe asthma attack, apparently almost died. But I'm still here - so there!

Hydrangea (hortensia) azul

Where is love?

Does it fall from skies above?

Is it underneat the willow tree

That I've been dream of?

Where is she?

Who I close my eyes to see?

Will I ever know the sweet "hello"

That's only meant for me?

Forever was shorter than what i was thinkin,

Now all we have left is yesterday,

i guess i wasnt what you wanted,

til u saw me turn and walk away,

be stil u had me feelin small, when im six foot four

fed up with you always comin up short,

tired of all the games you play,

funny how now, you've got so much to say

to say...but you never

Beautiful you

You don't have a clue

You star in the story of my life

Beautiful you

Beautiful you

We all have a tendency to obscure the forest of simple joys with the trees of problems.

- Christiane Collange

Vers le même avenir dont on entend le pas ;

True predation... Adults of both sexes frequently drink flower nectar, but they stock their nests with spiders, which serve as food for their offspring. Mud daubers cram as many as two dozen small spiders into a nest cell.

I just want to thank everyone for the warm wishes and get wells for my husband! He is now home and in good spirits! He has much healing to do, but thankful he did not lose his foot.

Thanks for your support and powerful prayers! :0)

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
