An invitation I couldn't resist...This are my captures for a day activities in and around the Giam Village river safari, jungle trekking and caving...all in a day...Boy it was fun and at the same time I am helping the villagers in promoting their tourism package...Apart from being blessed with exquisite natural surroundings, the Village is offering their hospitality to visitors who might want to come and stay at the village Homestay homes.
Here, I wish to share with my fickr firends our simple yet peace loving people of Malaysian Borneo side...Enjoy...

Everyone has to have one, don't they? The bee is sharper in other photos I took today, but I liked the simplicity of this one, with the blue background and purple flower.
This photo was taken in the Leighhills of Dunblane. Paul took me back to visit the places where he'd played as a child, damming streams and on building sites. Back then, there was far less foliage. Now it's thick with trees, bushes and most slopes are thick with the purple flower above. I'd love to know what it is.
Happy birthday Malaysia...16th September is a very important date to remember by Malaysians of all walks of life, religion and race. Malaysians, especially in my state, Sarawak, celebrates it's 50th Anniversary since joining Malaysia in 1963 last Monday. We have seen many bloodshed and hard times in the course of our history and has developed into a prosperous and harmonious state in the whole of Malaysia.
To commemorate this auspicious occasions a Parade do was organised and was officiate by our King, Sultan Abdul Halim.

Seratok Beauty...Captured this beautiful creature this morning soon after a wedding shoot at a longhouse in Seratok last night. Seratok is one of the districts in Sarawak and is about five hours drive from Kuching City.

+ Taken yester-of-the-day...just checkin' out the scenic parrts of greater south of Auckland that most people rarely go to . I can't believe these places exists , altho the route to these places are really twisty but along the way, there are freakin' awesome sweeping and mountainous landscapes in which I would have shot but can't stop...really, the scene while driving on our bikes is more beautiful than what I present here, lol.
+ Manukau heads is about 150km aways from Auckland, basing from our motorbike tripmeter
+ we have to drive our sports / touring bikes on gravel roads, just to get up here lol crazy
+ lots of twisties for bike riders who likes to lean but be carefull as the roads are not race tracks lol
+ no post processing, no cropping
+ image is loaded straight to NX2 and there are no further adjustments and is converted straight to TIFF

I turned up today in the pouring rain and did wonder quite what I was doing but it meant poor light but on the plus side no people to scare the birds away
Armoured Plated Back!... Beetles are generally characterised by a particularly hard exoskeleton and hard forewings (elytra).
