166221 arrives at Filton AW with a Cardiff Taunton service, note the fencing and barriers, more protection than a prison! 19/9/20.
Here's a shot of the 1985 Fry Street Fair, looking west toward the Sammy House, with its beer garden in the back yard. Note the Lowenbrau and Miller Beer signs.
Now, don't go all "OOH, THIS ARENT AKURET MARINS!!!"
Yes, I know, but it is a huge improvement from my first ones. The decals aren't exactly accurate, I know, but they are good quality and seem better than the "one-breast-pocket-and-two-ammo-pouched" USMC decal.
Siggy is the one in the middle. Navajo on the right.
Good enough? If not, I'll make improvements and (eventually) switch to Roaglaan's decal.
Oh, and ewok master, I'm the SECOND one to paint the new BA helmets. :P

NAVAJO CODETALKERS WERE REAL, PEOPLE! WINDTALKERS ISN'T FICTIONAL!
A photo from the archives that never had an airing, and as I saw one today, but never got a photo of it... this will do:)
FM-455 during construction, 1985.I believe that this is one of a series of shots I took of the Aubrey Reservoir/Lake Ray Roberts, when it was under construction. I remember listening at a City of Denton gathering in the 1970's, when I citizen made a plea for the beginning and completion of the Aubrey Reservoir. He wasn't joking, and water supplies aren't a joke in this part of the world. I remember the drought of 1950-1957, and the population of this area was much smaller. What happens when we have the next seven year drought?
Here's Marie Nelson at the 1985 Fry Street Fair. A Texas Woman's University alumnus, she lives in the north part of Denton, and she owns Cheeps n' Critters on South Elm. Her son Josh is the little boy in the coonskin cap in the parade on the Square. UPDATE: She doesn't live in extreme north Denton anymore, but Cheep n' Critters has moved to extreme northwest Denton at the outlet mall. UPDATE: Sadly, Cheeps n' Critters is no more.
Here's a crowd shot at the 1985 Fry Street Fair, looking east, with the wall of the Tomato (I think) in the background.
