Our first day on the road and a visit to Yukon for the mill (also supposed to be a breakfast stop), but there was the impending storm approaching so time was tight. We only managed a few shots from our time in Oklahoma due to the weather - it also happened to be thanksgiving and nothing was open!

The SEAT 600 is a city car made in Spain by SEAT, under licence by Fiat.
The vehicle has become an icon of the period 60´s-70´s in Spain.
Today's story and sketch "by me" was starting as a boring morning at my drawing table in the man cave, when there was a loud screeching as a craft heavy breaking so as not to crash through the Stargate located in the back of the man cave, just then JB and Rescue Randy popped through in a B&R Galaxy Scout experimental Glider, the two had excited expressions, I was expecting a mad rush to see who could reach the man cave executive mens room first. But it turned out the excitement was the news, that for the first time in many years the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert area of Black Rock, was celebrating the return of Disco for the closing burning man ceremonies featuring Mr. Mystery Flagger the most famous Disco DJ from the Planet Felopia. Mr. Mystery was the master of ceremonies for what were believed by many to be the best years at the Festival. There are many conspiracy theories as to why Disco died in the desert. But I will tell the whole truth and dispel the crazy conspiracy theories, with the the complete Disco Story. It was the year of the Burning Man 1980, actually the morning after the wildest night in the Festival's history, as the sun was rising over the last embers of the Burning Man with the song Disco Inferno being played by the Gypsy Goat Herders Band, it was then in the daylight the festival authorities discovered, the Band's herd of 400 Prized Nubian Goats, that traveled with the Band whenever they played, had eaten nearly all of the free standing tents, interiors and seat coverings of most vehicles, all of the food in the hospitality venues, and it is believed that was the day that Disco died. Until this year's Supreme Court Settlement, which found the Goats and the Herder Band not guilty of any damages because of the indemnity agreement between the Band's manager Rescue Randy's Promotions, and the Burning Man group. Above you see Randy, myself and JB as Mr. Mystery, is about to land at Black Rock, until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
the fun thing about cleaning off one's computer, backing up stuff, organizing images is finding a gem or two you never paid much attention too.
