This was the model that set me on my love of Ferrari - the 308 GTS. It was a beautiful piece of design by the famous Italian automobile designer, Pininfarina. This shape dates back to 1977, but this is the 1982 model. It is my latest die-cast 1/18th scale model by Norev.

Williams is a town of about 5,000 people in Colusa County, about 60 miles (97 kilometers) north and a little west of Sacramento, and about 115 miles (185 kilometers) north and east of San Francisco. The area is mainly agrarian with the farms growing rice, almonds, tomatoes, walnuts, wheat and alfalfa.
I'm sure some of you know that a lot of Okies moved to the Central Valley in the 30s during the Dust Bowl. Though most of them settled in the south end of the valley near Bakersfield (hence the Bakersfield sound), many of them settled in the north end. I went to grade school with a couple of kids whose parents were from Oklahoma and their accents were pretty thick.
