The second fleet of automated trucks purchased by ARC as they expanded automated collection to more communities consisted of 8 Autocar WXLL chassis paired with Heil Python bodies. Only two of these units remain at the ARC Disposal shop with others having been sent to other hauling divisions as far away as Minnesota including 2464.

This unit was seen collecting recyclables in Park Ridge, Illinois. Since this picture was taken, Groot Industries took over the Park Ridge contract and now uses a fleet of CNG Heil Curotto Cans to service the village.

Used and abused, if nothing else.

I just wanted to see how it looked wielding a rifle of some sort. I like it more than expected! Unfortunately I suck at making weapons.

This time it's Nell's turn, my DLace Ex machina! She is very cute, but so heavy... she stands not very well >_<

I continue to develop the macro setup i use. In this new setup, i an use both flash and continuous light (two different LED types). Thanks to the telescopic drawer rail, i can move the lights easily. I use a plastic cup for the flash to soften the light and a plastic cup for the constant light.

Other equipments in the setup;

1: Canon 6D

2: Mitutoyo M Plan Apo 5x

3: Nikon CF Plan 10x 0.30 WD 16.5

4: Lomo 3.7x

Easily one of, if not the most durable injection molded cart ever made for automated collection. Shame they are not more popular.

An amazing contraption, never had one on my toy farm! Lines up rows of baby plant cells and pushes them into aluminium gutters, in one end as the grow and taken out from the other, cool!

With the growing success of their VCS line, EP Industries decided to delve into the drone market with their ACS (Automated Combat System) line. The first in the series was the RF-X02A, which uses a heavily modified AI system from a Hornet system. The unit saw moderate success, but it was not until the release of the unit's full-armor set that it came into widespread use. The extra armor not only adds new weapons, but covers most of the system's more integral parts with bio-laminate plates, greatly increasing its effectiveness in battle, at the cost of higher energy consumption.

This is based around Lu Sim's reFrame design. I swear it's coincidence that we both built mass-produced looking frames at the same time :P They even share some ideas and techniques!

I was impressed by the customizability & proportions of the reFrame, although the articulation of the basic design was kinda limited (namely in the arms) so I had to address that in this build. When the base mech was built, I felt like it needed something more, and thus the armor set was born. The armor doesn't really hinder the articulation at all, although it does make the waist joint want to bend all the time. I also tried to combine a more Japanese-esque head with a drone-like one, and I think it turned out okay.

Next up: Droneuary!

(Although I guess this technically counts as a drone, doesn't it?)

well I finally got around to servicing the shutter on this old girl as having functions on cameras that don't work properly really bugs me.

Saturday was cold and stormy so I decided it was as good a time as any to remove the front of the camera for a long overdue service of the slow speed gear set, the self timer gear set and a clean of the glass.Having serviced my two Rolleicords and a Minolta Autocord shutter this one was not that difficult, both gearsets were removed and cleaned in thinners then a tiny amount of gun oil applied to the gears and spindles did the trick .on reassembly the timers now purr away beautifully. the glass got a careful clean and appears to be in very good condition with only a couple of very slight cleaning marks on front taking lens visable only when viewed under a strong light

So now I am happy with this camera and am looking forward see the next roll of film it produces

Inspired by Titanfall automated infantry robots (which trace lineage from Neill Blomkamp's Elysium (2013), to Masamune Shirow's Appleseed cyborgs and other anime/manga cyborgs from the 1980's, to Neil R. Jones's The Jameson Satellite stories from the 1930s), here's an(other) anthropomorphic robot. The large head with multiple optic sensors implies...use your imagination - prototype soldier, hunter, spy, observer, explorer?
