Hi Folks,

”Our Easter Rabbit came along with a big truck to deliver all these lovely sweets for us which we found in our Wild Garden. You might imagine how happy we are that Hibernation had been finished before and not after Easter. He even took our Cousin ESMERALDA with him and placed some buckets of this most delicious and very special Bear Honey in a hidden place which is made in the Honey Forest. We have - of course- found this treat and our HORACIO will take care for this treasure and makes sure these buckets will not get into any wrong paws. Easter Rabbit is still here with us which is not the normal thing an Easter Rabbit does. Maybe he is waiting for a tip to be rewarded for all his efforts to get the Easter delivery here ?"

As I could not find anything of triangle shape for this challenge, took some corrugated card board out of a chocolate box folded a small three-sided tunnel and imposed it over the flame of a lit LED candle and took a macro from above which does not exceed 2.5” x 2.5” (incl neg space) The golden light of the tiny bulb reflects on the texture of the corrugated card board and gives the triangle a nice frame .

The ruins of the castle are what remains of the one that was built in the 9th century on the remains of an old fort. The 9th century fortification was maintained until 1073, the year in which it was razed to the ground by Gonzalo de Moscoso, son of a certain Beremundo. After this, its reconstruction was made difficult by the prohibition ordered by King Fernando II in 1180 to build new fortresses in the "Land of Santiago" without the express authorization of the Archbishop of Compostela. It belonged to the Moscoso family from the fifteenth century onwards.

It was again demolished by the Irmandiños in the 15th century (1431-1469), during the revolt and rebuilt in 1471. Curiously, the new walls were already adapted to withstand the impact of gunpowder projectiles. Later it was besieged in 1471, by the troops of the Archbishop of Santiago, under the command of his own brother Luis de Acevedo, without much luck. Since 1480 the castle was inhabited by the 1st Count of Altamira Lope Sánchez de Ulloa y Moscoso Due to his possession he was spared the Battle of Altamira.

Toucan de Baillon / Saffron Toucanet / Pteroglossus bailloni

Les parties inférieures du toucanet sont jaunes et contrastent avec le manteau, le dos et les couvertures au-dessus des ailes qui affichent une teinte olive. La couleur de la corne du bec a une tache rouge à la base. Une zone de peau nue rouge entoure l'iris qui est jaune. Précédant les rectrices, la croupe est écarlate. On ne peut pas vraiment parler de dimorphisme, cependant la femelle est légèrement différente. Elle porte un plumage plus terne avec une teinte olive plus profonde sur le dessous. Son bec est légèrement plus petit.

The lower parts of the toucanet are yellow and contrast with the mantle, the back and the above-wing covers which display an olive hue. The bill horn color has a red spot at the base. A zone of red bare skin surrounds the iris which is yellow. Preceding the rectrices, the rump is scarlet. We can not really speak of dimorphism, however the female is slightly different. She wears a duller plumage with a deeper olive shade on the underside. Its bill is slightly smaller.
