Ponte Vecchio, Florence, Italy (pre-dawn blue hour)
The Ponte Vecchio ("Old Bridge") is a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, Italy, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers.
The bridge spans the Arno at its narrowest point where it is believed that a bridge was first built in Roman times. The Roman piers were of stone, the superstructure of wood. After being destroyed by a flood in 1117, it was reconstructed in stone but swept away again in 1333. It was rebuilt in 1345.
The bridge has always hosted shops and merchants who displayed their goods on tables before their premises, after authorization of the Bargello (a sort of a lord mayor, a magistrate and a police authority). The back shops (retrobotteghe) that may be seen from upriver, were added in the seventeenth century.
It is said that the economic concept of bankruptcy originated here: when a money-changer could not pay his debts, the table on which he sold his wares (the "banco") was physically broken ("rotto") by soldiers, and this practice was called "bancorotto" (broken table; possibly it can come from "banca rotta" which means "broken bank"). Not having a table anymore, the merchant was not able to sell anything and went bankrupt.

Pic à front jaune / Yellow-fronted Woodpecker / Melanerpes flavifrons
Pic de taille moyenne multicolore et grégaire. Remarquez les ailes, la queue et le masque noirs, le front et les yeux jaunes, le croupion blanc et le ventre rouge bordé de barres sombres. Les mâles ont une couronne et un cou rouges, qui sont noirs chez les femelles. Trouvé dans les forêts humides, la seconde pousse et parfois les plantations. L'appel est un «kiki-kiki-kirikiki» bruyant.
Multicolored, gregarious medium-sized woodpecker. Note black wings, tail, and mask, yellow forehead and eyering, white rump, and red belly bordered with dark bars. Males have a red crown and neck, which is black in females. Found in moist forests, second growth and sometimes plantations. The call is a loud “kiki-kiki-kirikiki”.

Un beau cottage de l'ancienne Epoque des habitants de Barbour. Bien entourée de comment et graveurs d,Embouchures des canaux de la vallée de la Sainte-Tite de Wellesley, Bar Harbour est situé à la pointe de Roche !
A lovely yellow cottage on the green grounds of Harbour Village in historic district of Wellesley ! Beautiful cloture surrounding the boardwalk and the rock formation around the sea and rockliff above the sea ans round the ground !

The village of Barbour is located at the extreme south of the Amerindian peninsula and constituting the heyday of the Iroquois in Tilly-sur-Mer also located on the North Brunswick peninsula and its seascape. Everything is beautiful and magnificent in the reefs and high tides.

Toucan de Baillon / Saffron Toucanet / Pteroglossus bailloni
Les parties inférieures du toucanet sont jaunes et contrastent avec le manteau, le dos et les couvertures au-dessus des ailes qui affichent une teinte olive. La couleur de la corne du bec a une tache rouge à la base. Une zone de peau nue rouge entoure l'iris qui est jaune. Précédant les rectrices, la croupe est écarlate. On ne peut pas vraiment parler de dimorphisme, cependant la femelle est légèrement différente. Elle porte un plumage plus terne avec une teinte olive plus profonde sur le dessous. Son bec est légèrement plus petit.
The lower parts of the toucanet are yellow and contrast with the mantle, the back and the above-wing covers which display an olive hue. The bill horn color has a red spot at the base. A zone of red bare skin surrounds the iris which is yellow. Preceding the rectrices, the rump is scarlet. We can not really speak of dimorphism, however the female is slightly different. She wears a duller plumage with a deeper olive shade on the underside. Its bill is slightly smaller.

Un beau cottage de l'ancienne Epoque des habitants de Barbour.
A lovely yellow cottage on the green grounds of Harbour Village in historic district of Wellesley !
Le village de Barbour est situé à l'extrême sud de la péninsule amérindienne et constitue l'apogée des Iroquois à Tilly-sur-Mer également situé sur la péninsule du Nord-Brunswick et son paysage marin. Tout est beau et magnifique dans les récifs et les marées hautes.
The village of Barbour is located at the extreme south of the Amerindian peninsula and constituting the heyday of the Iroquois in Tilly-sur-Mer also located on the North Brunswick peninsula and its seascape. Everything is beautiful and magnificent in the reefs and high tides.
