Heading in to the pits to have the bonnet removed, is this Aussie Race Car at the Clipsal 500, 2013. Both this car and car no.7 alongside are from the same team with the exact same damage, in the same race. What are the odds of that?

Sez the bottle "Accented with velvety soft Australian Kangaroo Paw Flower" - Kangaroo Paw Flower? What on earth is that?

Two Aussie soldiers - perhaps on R&R - having a ride in a Ricksha (Rego number 1635 - Owned by a Mr E J Smith) in Durban circa 1902 - these ricksha's still operate today! (Well, maybe not exactly THIS one...)

You can see the rising sun badges on their slouch hats, interestingly on the front. The bloke on the right seems a bit uncomfortable for some reason.

The Beautiful Aussie Laura Enever Surf Girl Goddess vs the Gorgeous South African Bianca Buitendag Surf Goddess! They were both wearing shorts/swimsuit bikini bottoms with their wetsuit tops! Both could easly be professional models! I think Laura does model. :) Tall, thin, fit, pretty blonde goddesses with long, toned legs! For all my 45surf flickr fans!

Gorgeous athletic girl goddesses! Here is some video from last year shot at the same time as stills--I'm too tired to process this year's video and have to get up at 5:30 AM tomorrow to catch the start of the day!

Shot with a Sony A77 and Sigma 50-500mm Lens! Instead of shooting the Nikon D4 & 600mm F/4 Prime on a tripod, I decided to be a bit more nimble/mobile this year, running around with a monopod! I also had my Nikon D800E slung over my shoulder with a 28-300 lens. :)

A beautiful day with tall, thin, fit goddesses at the beach!

Tomorrow I'll mostly be shooting with the D800E and the 150-500 Sigma lens. Getting up early! See you there!

After a week away in the Aussie outback on the way home I ran into a magazine shoot of some Aussie muscle cars and couldn't help myself but get some shots as well. - Little Hartley, Australia

The Maintenance Man

I met John in Manna Hill, a small remote town on the Barrier Highway approximately 300kms from Adelaide. Population is around 60 people

John was taking a break from his duties as the generator maintenance man. The town's electricity is supplied by generators which run 24 hours a day. John's job is to make sure that the generators continue to work. He has lived in the town for about 10 years after moving from the Coorong. He said that he thinks that he may retire soon to the Flinders Ranges.
