Well, this is not really a road to nowhere - although it is a dead end street - but it does lead to among other things the most beautiful little dump on the East Coast.... beautiful little dump is probably an exaggeration, but it certainly is the dump with one of THE best views in Australia. These days I suppose it's not called a dump either, but rather a part of the Waste Management Infrastructure. ;-)

This is another one from when i met up with Kim and Steven the other day.

Unfortunately the top of Mount Warning just didn't want to come out to play and stayed hidden during the entire sunset period this particular afternoon.

For other views from this spot see this shot or this and then you'll probably understand my statement of one of the most beautiful views from a dump :-)

Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere

WELL WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOIN'

BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'VE BEEN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE KNOWIN'

BUT WE CAN'T SAY WHAT WE'VE SEEN

AND WE'RE NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT

AND THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN

GIVE US TIME TO WORK IT OUT

We're on a road to nowhere

Come on inside

Takin' that ride to nowhere

We'll take that ride

I'm feelin' okay this mornin'

And you know,

We're on the road to paradise

Here we go, here we go

CHORUS

Maybe you wonder where you are

I don't care

Here is where time is on our side

Take you there...take you there

We're on a road to nowhere

We're on a road to nowhere

We're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind

Come along and take that ride

and it's all right, baby, it's all right

And it's very far away

But it's growing day by day

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

They can tell you what to do

But they'll make a fool of you

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

We're on a road to nowhere

The BBJ was used for a domestic movement of a Ministerial delegation, who then transferred to the KC-30A for a flight overseas.

A personal favourite .

This shot was from last Thanksgiving....Just back from the groomers for their semi-annual pro grooming.... Absolutely love my two Aussie kids. They are very high energy and wouldn't have it any other way! With that energy comes a few caveats tho, like, the given fact that rain, shine, snow, heat, or lots of MUD you gotta get them a LOT of exercise!

Photos below are from the first annual 'Aussie Mud Bowl' which usually happens every spring when we have a lot of our annual rainfall and it leaves the yard, well, less than dry lol....

Darkday takes a big step forward and lunges deep into me and scores a direct hit to my heart killing me instantly. Luckily its just fencing fun :)

6 weeks old and on the move all the time!

Lia Vansevenant of the Wildcats ladies in action yesterday. She'll be in Aussie next year, and I am sure she will do well there.

Four into three won't go . This race is to decide which of these young ladies will go through to the "medal" round of the national final. It's a bit like musical chairs, except it has these batons (flags) which are always one fewer in number than the competitors and lots and lots of sand. Just to give you an idea of how it works, for those of you who may not have been lucky enough to see this sort of event before :-) .

This little girl has me baffled. She has no heart on her butt (or any sign of one)and her tag reads '87 but the last 2 letters are unreadable (so not an '88 baby)She has dimples, but she is paler than my other Aussies but darker than my US boys. She seems to have the DR's style fringe.

Gutted my car broke down on the way over to Santa Pod Friday lunch time then unfortunately the Aussie Outlaw put a hole through a piston in the evening on a 6.7 second pass so I never actually saw the car run.

The car and team have been visiting from Australia having had lots of help from a crown funder and the Banshee Racing team. This was the first Outlaw Anglia to run a 6 second pass and they added a few more 6 second runs while visiting Santa Pod including a quickest ever side by side with Colin Millar also running a 6 at Summer Nationals.

Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible and wish the team a safe trip home.
