The Swan River Colony (present-day city of Perth) was established in Western Australia in 1829.
On Federation, the six colonies of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania became original states of the new Commonwealth of Australia.

Royal Australian Air Force KC-30A MRTT A39-007, operating as 'Aussie Three Six One', and Boeing 737-8 MAX BBJ A62-001, operating as 'Envoy One', at Adelaide Airport, South Australia. The BBJ was used for a domestic movement of a Ministerial delegation, who then transferred to the KC-30A for a flight overseas.

The highway from Katherine to Halls Creek is crossed by many small creeks and the occasional large river. In the Dry season they present a dry sandy bottom with the odd billabong along the length. In the Wet they fil up with water and all manner of aquatic life. This is one of them between Katherine and Kununurra.
It has been raining for a few days and forecast for more rain most of the coming week. What better time for an Aussie Mudbowl rematch!!! Besides, gotta burn that energy off rain or shine!!!

We Aussies certainly have some slang which baffles others around the world so here's a test for those of you interested in trying to understand our lingo (Aussie word for language).
British people will probably understand the most as I'm sure much of our slang is based on theirs.
Here is another view of Dulacca Transport at work late this afternoon. The rigs were kept busy carting cattle for the Dulacca Camp Draft held this weekend.
No flies in the vicinity though. It's winter.
