inquietante....
these beautiful little guys caught my eye one day and I had to shoot them. soon after the mower came by and devoured them.
I have been watching this safety board at work all week, just counting the days and hoping and praying (a bit selfishly...) that no one gets hurt. We never like to see the board get reset to "0 days" because that means someone did get hurt. Which is easy to do in this manufacturing area because the product is microscope slides. Working with glass can be hazarous in so many ways. But this week, I am happy to report, this company has worked 100 days without a lost time injury!

This poor bird was flitting around the store, sitting on the store fixtures and the aisle signs and whatnot. I hope it managed to get out.

I helped this older couple Sarah and Jimmy start up a new phone line a while back and have helped them with customer service stuff a few times since, and today Sarah came in to give me this Panda Express gift card! (And to help her figure out how to turn the volume back up on the phone, hee.)
She said she really appreciated how nice I've been to them. I said I was glad to help (especially since, honestly, their customer service needs are a lot simpler than 90 percent of our customers' needs, and they are always nice and appreciative.) I also showed her the handy rocker button on the side for volume control. :)
