An "apathetic" snow. Scattered. Just like us. Lost in a blank space which we will fill with our looks eager for big spaces and our internal and cheerful releases. As an abandoned fair by its public we are creating our own merry-go-round going from one merry-go-round to an other merry-go-round.
These scars long have yearned for your tender caress
To bind our fortunes, damn what the stars own

Dhammayangyi Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Bagan, Myanmar. Largest of all the temples in Bagan, the Dhammayan as it is popularly known was built during the reign of King Narathu (1167-1170). Narathu, who came to the throne by assassinating his father Alaungsithu and his elder brother, presumably built this largest temple to atone for his sins.
The Dhammayangyi is the widest temple in Bagan, and is built in a plan similar to that of Ananda Temple. Burmese chronicles state that while the construction of the temple was in the process, the king was assassinated by some Indians and thus the temple was not completed. Sinhalese sources however indicate that the king was killed by Sinhalese invaders.
The temple's interior is bricked up for unknown reasons, thus only the four porches and the outer corridors are accessible.
The death of the Savior on the cross is the central image of Christian art, which is designed to reveal the essence of the creed, its main dogma is the atoning sacrifice of Jesus in the name of the salvation of mankind.
On both sides of the cross are depicted the Virgin Mary (on the left in the photo) and John the Theologian (on the right in the photo). This is how the icon painter embodies the words of the evangelist John about how Jesus, while still alive, commanded his beloved disciple John to take care of His mother.

Обабіч хреста зображено Богородицю (на фото ліворуч) та Йоана Богослова (на фото праворуч). Так іконописець втілює слова євангеліста Йоана про те, як Ісус, ще будучи живим, заповів улюбленому учневі Йоану опікуватися Його матір’ю.
Церква «Воскресіння Христова» (Воскресенська церква),
пам’ятка архітектури, збудована у 1696-1698 роках (за іншими даними в 1701-1705) у стилі українського бароко. Дзвіницю побудовано впритул до церкви в 1860-1863 роках (споруджена архітектором П. І. Спарро за проектом архітектора Духоніна).
В 12-ти медальонах вокруг Распятия Христа изображены казни раннехристианских святых. В 10-м по часовой стрелке - распятие на кресте вниз головой. Я не знаю соотносится ли это изображение с распятием Апостола Петра, в христианстве — одного из двенадцати апостолов (ближайших учеников) Иисуса Христа. По преданию, во время гонения императора Нерона на христиан Апостол Пётр был распят на Перевёрнутом кресте в 64 году вниз головой. В 10-м медальоне распятие на Косом кресте. Перевёрнутый крест используется в католической церкви и, возможно по этой причине, в иконе православного храма крест Петра изобразили Косым.
По преданию на Косом кресте был распят апостол Андрей - смотри 7-й медальон. Косой крест называют Андреевским.

On the right looms the wall of the Temple Mount, with the sealed double portals of the Golden Gate standing out. On the left, the world’s largest Jewish cemetery stretches up the Mount of Olives.
The cemetery’s location follows the Jewish belief that the long-awaited Messiah will pass through the Golden Gate to begin the resurrection of the dead.
In reaction to this belief, Muslims established a cemetery in front of the gate to block the Messiah’s path — and this may also be why the Ottoman ruler Suleiman the Magnificent sealed the gate in 1541.
During the Second Temple period a high, two-tiered bridge spanned the Kidron Valley from the Temple Mount to the Mount of Olives. Across this bridge on the Day of Atonement each year a goat symbolically bearing the sins of the people — the original scapegoat — was led into the wilderness.
The Golden Gate may have been where Jesus entered the city on Palm Sunday. It was probably also the Beautiful Gate of Acts 3:1-10, where the apostle Peter healed a lame beggar.

The view from a family friend's house. On their property, the grapes are grown in these small stone-walled vineyards. They protect the vines from the wind and salt spray from the Atlantic Ocean. I took this in 2002, and over the years I have been there several more times. Although there are new homes in the area, nothing has really changed. The old homes have been updated with modern conveniences. Of course roads are either cobblestone or asphalt. The beauty of all this, is that the landscape may still resemble what it was hundreds of years ago.
I was not feeling well yesterday so I #sketch ed this (on site) before I went home from class...because #drawing makes me feel better ;)

The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne and they are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea. The Seven Sisters cliffs are occasionally used in filmmaking and television production as a stand-in for the more famous White Cliffs of Dover, since they are relatively free of anachronistic modern development and are also allowed to erode naturally. They are also featured at the beginning of the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and at the end of the film Atonement where Robbie and Cecilia always wanted to live. An east-facing photo of the Seven Sisters is included as one of the default landscape wallpapers packaged with Microsoft Windows 7.
Oh what a glorious day! Today is a day that we remember Jesus rising from the dead, the grave could not hold His body and on the third day He rose again as He had said He would. Today is a day of celebration and remembering as we look back on what our beautiful Savior has done for us. He has set us free from the power of sin and death! Our old self was crucified with Christ and we are resurrected with Christ and given new life! We were once dead in our trespasses and sin, but Jesus being rich in love and mercy willingly offered His life as a ransom for us! He took on our sin and bore the full wrath of God that we rightfully deserved to receive as punishment so that we could be forgiven by His blood that was poured out. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, He was the only One who ever lived a sinless life and could make final atonement for our sins. This is the best news we could ever hear, our sin has been forgiven and we have been made right with God because of what Jesus has done for us! If you have not yet received Jesus, I plead with you, do not waste another day living in your sin; repent of your sin and come to Jesus, ask Him to flood every part of your life. He will transform you and make you a new creation giving you new life free from the power of sin and death that hold you captive.
I've been reflecting a lot this week. There have been a lot of changes- many ups and some downs, too. I've taken a good look a myself and those that surround me in my life. I've laughed - a LOT, I've cried. I've begun to atone for some hurts I created in the past for those I loved. I'm not perfect by any means, but I am finding myself again.
