This image shows the full Moon of 5 December 2025, a supermoon illuminated at 99.8%.
At this phase, the Moon appeared about 7.7% larger than its average apparent size due to its proximity to perigee.
Its increased brightness and angular diameter made the main lunar maria and craters particularly well defined.
This image of the 5 December 2025 supermoon reveals a subtle chromatic tension between green-leaning and violet-leaning tones.
These hues result from the interplay between diffraction at the lens edges, atmospheric refraction, and the Moon’s own mineral composition.
Regions richer in iron tend to shift the reflected light toward green-olive tones, while areas with higher titanium content naturally push the spectrum toward violet and blue.
Photographed at an optimized horizontal angle, the image maintains this delicate balance of optical forces, allowing each wavelength — and each mineral signature, to assert its presence in the final structure of the photograph.
✨ Wolf-Rayet 134 – A Cosmic Jewel ✨
Captured WR 134 in stunning RGB, H-alpha, and OIII, revealing its breathtaking nebular structures! 💫 This Wolf-Rayet star, located 6,000 light-years away in Cygnus, shines through intense stellar winds, forming a spectacular bubble-like nebula.

Wall Flowers is an homage to the neglected, roadside flowers of the Big Island of Hawaii.
I paint with oils and texturing- a style that I call "Hard Edged Abstraction." Many of the paintings on this site were created while I lived in Hawaii on the Big Island. They are my response to the color, landscape, flora & fauna- the ocean life, and volcanoes, celestial navigation, and other wonders and beauty that is Hawaii.

Parrot astrology in action
Parrot astrology or Parrot fortune-telling (Tamil: கிளி ஜோசியம்) is a type of astrology popular among the Tamils of Tamil Nadu, India and Singapore. It involves using green parakeets which are trained to pick up Tarot like fortune cards.[1][2]
The parakeets are trained specifically for this. A parrot astrologer/fortune teller typically sits beneath a tree or by the side of the road where people congregate in numbers. He has a cage which contains one or two trained parrots. The tarot like cards are either spread out or stacked in front of him. They are 27 in number representing the Indian cosmic system. Each card contains the image of a Hindu deity and some cards contain images of Buddha or Virgin Mary with Infant Jesus. When a patron sits before the fortune teller, the later opens the cage and lets the parrot out. He instructs the parrot to pick a card for the patron. The parrot walks over to the cards picks one from the stack or the spread with its beak and gives it to the astrologer. It then walks back inside its cage. The astrologer opens the card and based on the image tells the fortune of the patron.[2][1]
My first Hawaiian Painting. It became the model for the giant glass tile floor mosaic commissioned for the entrance way to the 28 million-dollar Imiloa Astronomy Center, on the University of Hawaii, Hilo Campus. Appeared in my1st one-man show in Hawaii- "One Paradise." There are 10 sea creatures mixed into the painting. I donated this painting to the Hilo Medical Center, hoping that it adds a little joy to patients young & old staying in the hospital.

In response to the color version of Wall Flowers, I painted a neutral, monochromatic version.

My most popular painting. In a private collection, the image was licensed by the Big Island Visitors Bureau, and appeared on the cover of the November-December 2011 Hawaiian magazine, Ke Ola.

Pele's Rage III is the third iteration of this very popular painting. It conveys the power and awe of the Big Island of Hawaii's volcanoes. The 1st two were sold in galleries within days of exhibiting. This one is owned by very dear friends of our family.
