3502 and 3543, assisted by 3562, 3513 and 3534, head away from Braeside with empty Aurizon coal train EJ30.
Introduced between 1986 and 1988, the 3500/3600 class were built by Walkers Limited in Maryborough, QLD for Queensland Rail. Initially they were built as either command or slave units, hence the difference in class numbers, with the 3600's being slave units (unable to lead trains). Today they reside as the 3500 class and are a mix of 3500, 3600 or even 3900 classes, which were modified for use on passenger or general freight only.
Time is running out for these fluted stainless steel units, with their withdrawal anticipated over the next 5 years, bringing them to 40 years of service. Several members are already stored from service and only a few rakes remain operational on the Goonyella system. Their tractive effort of 3,880hp with DC traction motors, results in them needing to operate with 5 per train, whereas the upgraded 3700 or newly built 3800 class, only require 3, owing to their significantly better output of 5,360hp using AC traction. Because of this, the 3700 and 3800 classes can be mixed, however the 3500 class are limited to themselves.

Canadian National Z5a No. 6726 leads VIA FPA4 No. 6768 and train 135 through the smoke-free zone between Gare Central and Mont-Royal Tunnel in Montreal on 8 July 1987. Less celebrated than their older box cab stable mates, the 3 steeple cab units built by GE in 1950 still deserved attention.

Architecture by Pedro Falcão de Campos

AI assisted image according to my instructions, rendered as Vintage ink drawing with sepia hues and finished with my handmade chiaroscuro digital painting and post-processure.
PROLOGUE: I support any means and tools to make and improve art. And I second the idea that AI doesn't need to be criminalized, but, instead, supported. Obviously, not indiscriminately but in the right places, in the suitable groups, with ponder and gut and with the right artists. (See my quest here below and in my considerations down in the comments roll).
EXCERPT :
"With AI you can create ugly monsters as well as beautiful creatures
(or even beautiful monsters) but the artistic level you can realize and appreciate
when, in both cases, you don't just leave the prompt result unaltered but, instead,
you improve* it with your hands, especially to correct errors and distortions
(like feet detached from legs, 7 fingered hands, distorted eyes and various
other several mutilations)."
*or, as my new Friend & AI master Philip says "Anatomically and surgically enhanced".
Are you beginning to be annoyed by AI ? Then readdit:
I hope my modern Hentai with a Vintage spirit will be liked or held per interesting enough to proceed reading what matters me the most on a serious criticality about the wrong usage of the Artificial Intelligence which is overflowing and overwhelming a lot.
This odd image has been inspired to me by watching some poorly done AI pics, for instance a woman meant to be a normal woman, even sexy, when the "prompt commissioner" didn't pay attention to the fact the picture was generated with deformed/distorted limbs, extra-long totally unproportioned feet, hands with 6/7 fingers or even disconnected from the wrists.
I am not meaning those creatures that intentionally are made with dark or naughty appearance (like fantasy vampires etc.) but to the figurative imagery that is believed to be perfect by whom directed the AI prompt without even bothering to move his hands to refine and improve what sorted out.
This let me deduce some people, due to lazyness or lack of talent, generate an AI image but can't help editing and refining it to make it pleasurable or realistic and they yet dare to call them "women" or "girls" without considering they generated distrofic bodies which may be disappointing and disturbing for the viewer or, if you prefer, just call them less than trash.
So, I been willing to generate a very stylistic monster where, even the distrofic body parts are as intentional as well cared and edited by applying a good processure, retouching and even some digital painting.
All in all, the final result looks like to me more acceptable and elegant than some careless distorted images made to resemble real and that someone dares to call "art" ;-)
>>> Even if I am not at all a AI expert, a lil hint I experienced by myself, for those who are not or not yet able to recognize if an image is a AI and if it has a dignity or not: look at the eyes, the limbs and especially the hands of the body. If you see many errors, that is for sure AI but, especially, a poorly done image where the "author" didn't engage at all to improve it, probably due to lack of skills.
I have seen beautiful AI imagines, full of poetry and so pleasurable but, guess what, when, instead, they are poorly done, it's typical to see them dumped in zillions of depot groups.

One morning as the photo assist dog and I were out for our walk, this hummingbird flew in front of us, around us and all around a tree. It seemed to be showing off the bit of fluff in her beak. I thought nesting season was mostly over here in the Bay area, but maybe she was lining a nest.
She's within the overhang of a tree, thus the muted greens in back. This was the only shot that came out that morning, as she kept moving in random directions, and the photo assist dog was doing her best to try to trip me up!
My son has taken up an interest in assisting me in my photographic endeavours. We found this Gasteruption parasitoid wasp inside the glass in his grandmother's greenhouse and took it outside. It was obviously a bit tired from being stuck there so when Daniel offered it a wet finger it drank eagerly - and I took some shots.
I had the MP-E65mm on the camera at the moment so one of those shots with the bug in front of his out-of-focus face wouldn't work, but he coaxed me into making a run for it and fetch the more normal macro lens while he kept the wasp entertained.
This shot is taken post lens-change as he managed to keep the wasp on his finger while I switched gear (and also got the in-front-of-him shot he wanted). For part 1, taken using the MP-E65mm, go here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50256033487/ and for part 2, go here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50674565838/
This is either a G. jaculator or G. caucasicum, but they only differ in one species having a couple of indentations in the neck and my shots don't offer conclusive evidence which of them it is.
This species parasitizes on solitary bees nesting in cavities in wood where it sticks that ridiculously long ovipositor down the cavity.

My friend Tess taking a picture of me at the same time I took one of her. I'm not really sure, but I'm assuming the flash emanating from her camera is the red assist lamp. Either way, I like how it turned out.
Amtrak No. 6 was running late and when it finally turned up, I was surprised to find that Union Pacific C45ACCTE No. 5272 was leading the train. This was due to one of the Amtrak units failing en-route, which also explained the delay. The Amtrak P42's were No. 140 & 71, the latter having failed.

Come spesso accade, non avrei voluto essere altrove!

RATP Group LT461 is seen outside Treaty Centre on route H32, preparing for it’s rather short journey towards Southall Town Hall.
The H32 has partially converted to Routemaster operation, in order to oust some of it’s Omnicitys to route 65 until their new electric buses arrive later towards the end of this year.
Unfortunately however, these LTs haven’t been running smoothly on this route, as one crashed into the rear of another during rest time in Southall this week, which led to the windscreen and bodywork damaged in the process.

Assisted by the LL-26 Workbee, engineers and mechanical specialists work hard on installing a new long-range Subspace Array for Deep Space Outpost Arcturus. The hope is the station can extend it's communication and discovery reach.
[The LL-26 Workbee is one of those builds that I've been sitting on for some time and had not yet featured it in a photo. So here it is! It's small utility craft and it's idea was inspired by a craft in Star Trek of the same name. However, my version of it has these larger manipulator arms. In the next day or so I'll release a breakdown shot of the build and give the full "in-universe" story for those of you who enjoy those :-).]

For those who are interested, unfortunately I am unable to sell the Nova Team minifigures or designs due to the use of the "Classic Space" logo which is owned and trademarked by The LEGO Group. My custom designed figures and use of the official "Classic Space" logo is for personal use only in my MOCs and photography. By the same token, I will not give away the design files and source material either. Thank you for understanding! Trust me, if I could legally sell these, I would.

The SD50 pair followed the train up in the morning, then coupled to the rear at Jim Thorpe and pulled the train up to clear the signal here and is now being towed by the steam locomotives on the head end around the west leg of the wye. The SD50 pair will then pull the train into the station for the return trip.
