I took these 10 Photographs of the Machinery used in Bottling Coca Cola at the World of Coca Museum, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pharmacist John Stith Pemberton invented Coca Cola in 1886. The Coca Cola Museum fronts on a small park near the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel where we stayed during our visit to Atlanta. The World of Coca Cola Museum is located at 121 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.
In June 2018, my wife & I attended a Family Wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn, 275 Baker Street in Atlanta, Georgia. One end the hallway on the on the 13 Floor (they call it Floor PH) gave me a Great View of the CSX Tracks, while the other end of the hallway gave me a great view of the Skyview Ferris Wheel across the street from Centennial Olympic Park.
Since we were in Atlanta for several days, I had some time to visit the Coca Cola Museum, which was a short 2 blocks away from our Hotel.
Columbia Presbyterian hospital has taken over the Washingtom Avenue Armory on 169th street and has turned it into a vaccination center. 76 stations and thousands of shots daily, it’s an impressive operation. Got my second shot today.

Employees on the "Sunshine" assembly line at North American's plant put the finishing touches on another B-25 bomber, Inglewood, Calif. In addition to the battle-tested B-25 ("Billy Mitchell") bomber, used in General Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, this plant produces the P-51 ("Mustang") fighter plane which was first brought into prominence by the British raid on Dieppe

Shop floor of a garment making factory where top of the line international brands are manufactured and exported. This is one of the few factories where stringent safety and social compliance norms are met. This sector is one of the largest employer of skilled manpower in India.
When Henry Ford, the automobile maker and assembly line genius, decided to name a car after his son, Edsel, He thought he had a winner. He didn't! This one is the Edsel Ranger.
I found this photo of an Oldsmobile assembly line in 1950. This is what I want my Oldsmobile to look like when completed, with the exception of the color.

Pom Pom Metadyne Guns under construction in 22 Shop, Scotswood Works, Newcastle upon Tyne, 23 October 1942 (TWAM ref. DX1529/1).
‘Workshop of the World’ is a phrase often used to describe Britain’s manufacturing dominance during the Nineteenth Century. It’s also a very apt description for the Elswick Works and Scotswood Works of Vickers Armstrong and its predecessor companies. These great factories, situated in Newcastle along the banks of the River Tyne, employed hundreds of thousands of men and women and built a huge variety of products for customers around the globe.
The Elswick Works was established by William George Armstrong (later Lord Armstrong) in 1847 to manufacture hydraulic cranes. From these relatively humble beginnings the company diversified into many fields including shipbuilding, armaments and locomotives. By 1953 the Elswick Works covered 70 acres and extended over a mile along the River Tyne. This set of images, mostly taken from our Vickers Armstrong collection, includes fascinating views of the factories at Elswick and Scotswood, the products they produced and the people that worked there. By preserving these archives we can ensure that their legacy lives on.

This building is literally 1 mile long and was designed by Albert Kahn. Building of this structure started in 1909 and was completed in 1914 ( even though it started spitting out cars in 1910 ) . It is located in on Woodward Ave (although this view is from a side street ) in Highland Park, a suburb of Detroit and was the first Assembly Line plant. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1978. At it's peak in 1920 it produced a car a minute. It also produced Ford Tractors here until the 70's. Part of it is used as a storage facility now but the majority is deserted. Kerry actually shot this while we were doing 35 miles an a hour. Not too bad!

The Rivera Assembly Line fresco is at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Diego Rivera, from Mexico created them from 1932-33 . This is one of the highlights of the museum.
After working for many years in a Cadillac Assembly Plant in my opinion Rivera understood the business of Auto production and applied it well. Rivera based his work on visits to the Ford Rouge Plant then the largest auto plant in the world

Production of aero wings and assembled fuselages for Stirling bombers in the Longbridge assembly hall during the Second World War. In total 720 Stirling bombers were produced at Longbridge.

Here two women are preparing Wright's Biscuits. Photograph taken by Turners Photographic of Newcastle.
Wright’s Biscuits was a well known company in South Shields, South Tyneside. Set up as a maker of biscuits, they started out by supplying their stock to ships in 1790, but after a fall in demand, Wright's turned to making more up-market biscuits. Wright's Biscuit factory closed in 1973.
Turner’s was established in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1900s. It was originally a chemists shop but in 1938 become a photographic dealer. Turners went on to become a prominent photographic and video production company in the North East of England. They had 3 shops in Newcastle city centre, in Pink Lane, Blackett Street and Eldon Square. Turner’s photographic business closed in the 1990s.
