CAPPADOCIA:
Cappadocia is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in the Nevşehir, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Aksaray, and Niğde Provinces in Türkiye.
The name, traditionally used in Christian sources throughout history, continues in use as an international tourism concept to define a region of exceptional natural wonders, in particular characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage.

Ask restaurant was formerly a bank and the curved wall of the building is adorned with some of the 32 caryatids, or armless ladies, which continue along the adjoining terrace of shops. They date from about 1840 and are loosely based on similar columns at the Acropolis in Athens. We are so used to them but they are really quite a sight to behold and something that shouldn’t be missed if visiting Cheltenham.

It is not a story of single page
life is nothig but living on the Edge.
Stand along the thunder storm
don't care what the world says,
make the hell your new home
live the life in your own ways.
Get that spirit at any stage
life is nothing but living on the Edge
Don't follow the world
you are not blind,
create a new way &
let the world walk behind
Ask youself for freedom or cage
life is nothing but living on the Edge
Dry up the tears in your eye
hide the pain behind your smiles
you are alive my man, no matter
happiness is away miles.
Nightmare passes without damage
life is nothing but living on the Edge

'One side will make you grow taller, and the other side will make you grow shorter.'
'One side of WHAT? The other side of WHAT?' thought Alice to herself.
'Of the mushroom,' said the Caterpillar, just as if she had asked it aloud; and in another moment it was out of sight.
Don't pity me I ain't asking for nothing
I'm proof that the cracks let in the light
Keep coming in I'm booking oh
Every scar is a song that I'm singing
Every fall is a bell that keeps ringing
If I break I rebuild I'm not hopeless
I'm alive in the silence
Still alive still fighting
Bleeding inside but I still survive
Every crack tells a story unspoken
Tell it... don't hide
I'm singing my truth through a heart that's been broken
Yeah pieces on the ground still shine like gold
Even broken glass cuts deep, deeper when it's cold
You're a cheating man but somehow I still stand
Ain't no perfect man, just a broken man
Soon nothing left in his hand

Recently I was asked about SL Hotels on a Facebook group.
How do they work? Is there RP? Are there really staff on hand to assist you?
It occurred to me that most SL residents are probably like I was 1+ year ago, when I only had the vaguest notion that SL Hotels and Resorts were actually a thing.
So, I've posted a quick intro to the Second Life Hotel landscape
(Location - Wadi Musa Guesthouse and Resort )
Thank you my friend Tyler ! I enjoyed a lot to share this moment with you, It was fun (even with so many crash :))

A rare opportunity to ask questions from the team. They look eager to help, don`t they?

Frīda: If someone is asking about me, I am fine. I always travel with Ilona. But the fact that boat owners do not have Life Jackets my size, made me change my mind. I did not want to wrinkle my dress in Ilona's handbag and prefered to stay at home. Here you see me at Old Kuldīga Brick Bridge.
I wish everybody Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday!

A friend asked me: "After all these Safaris you made, what are you looking for this time? What is it you like to snap this time?"
My answer was: "Honey Badger! We´v seen them often, but I never was able to get a clean shot of one of those guys. They always tend to disappear in the grass only allowing blurry butt shots."
As if someone had listened, luck was on our side and we had this lovely badger in hunting mode for several minutes. The critter never stood still but I was lucky enough to get some nice shots, at least.

"I ask when it will be,
that man shall learn to live without killing,
and the wind shall come to rest."
Francesco Guggini, Auschwitz
On January 27, 1945, Soviet troops entered the Auschwitz concentration camp and revealed a horror that the world may have sensed, but for too long had ignored. For this reason, in 2005, the United Nations chose this date as the International Day of Remembrance, dedicated to all the victims of the Holocaust.
Today, twenty-one years after that symbolic act, we must ask ourselves whether that memory is truly alive. It seems that humanity itself, including the descendants of those who were victims of that horror, has forgotten the horror of the Holocaust. New massacres and new wars continue to stain our present with blood.
The number of atrocities is so great that we risk becoming accustomed to them: they pass before our eyes and, within just a few days, they are forgotten. October 7th massacre of Israel people, Gaza genocide, Iran massacre of civilians, Ukraine war, the extermination of the Kurdish people, the civil wars in Somalia and Sudan are only some of the conflicts in which the first victims continue to be innocent civilians.
In many countries, authoritarianism is becoming the norm, while armed militias kill, arrest (often using children as baits) and deported people that are only guilty of being different or protesting in a pacific way the regime,.
The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin is a place that must be visited with deep respect, because it reminds us that history can repeat itself. It warns us that violence, carried out in the name of an ideal, an interest, or too often in the name of a god, is a tragic and enduring part of human nature.
To remember is not only an act of memory — it is a responsibility toward the future.
"Io chiedo quando sara'
che l'uomo potra' imparare
a vivere senza ammazzare
e il vento riposera'"
Francesco Guggini "Auschtwitz"

My son and I are quite the team. For those of you who know Micah from my early Flickr days, he's now 14. A beautiful and growing teenager who has had challenges all his life with being diagnosed with severe autism and intellectual disability from a young age. Despite being non-verbal, he's always had a joyful spirit and loves with his whole heart. A few months ago my heart almost stopped as he begun having seizures. The first was the worst but he's continued to have many of what they call focal seizures since. He's started medication but they are not under control. I'm left trying to find help from hard to contact specialists and it makes me feel like I'm drowning some days because I don't know what else to do to help him. It seems so unfair. I want to rage but I feel sad. So asking for prayers, for him, for me, for a better balance of my spirit xx
When we pray, God hears more than we say, answers more than we ask, gives more than we imagine in His own time and in His own way.
The storm raged throughout the night. When morning came, the rain continued, but the wind calmed down a bit, allowing us to take the cruise along the entire length of Milford Sound out to the Tasman Sea.
Mountains across Milford Sound were gushing water everywhere I looked at. All of the mountains turned into waterfalls!
Although the quality of the photos was severely impacted by the wind and continuous rain, it was an amazing experience.

How you may ask, can something be "most natural"?
Well, they say "Nature abhors a straight line." I dare you to find a straight line in this gnarly old oak.

A father holds his child up and asks to take his picture. Happy Father's Day to him and to all of the men out there who behave how men should. We impact the lives of many people everyday - not just the lives of our children.
This is the entrance to a residential neighborhood. The neighborhoods are full blocks with pedestrian streets that meander through them. People's living spaces open right onto the pedestrian street - often with no doors or windows. A very real sense of community. I've never seen anything like it. On my next trip to Jakarta I wanted to spend a full day just exploring a neighborhood and the people in it. The job in Jakarta, however, is no longer a job and I had to move to another company - so that opportunity is gone. That, my friends, is the way life goes.
Be well and have a wonderful day.
