you have asked me, and I have said nothing.

Derdi aşmış.

Derdi aşkmış.

Derdi âşık olmakmış.

Söyleyemez bildiğini

İnleyen bir kamış adı ney..

Derde düşmüş,

Derin halde.

Hâle girmiş her mahalde.

Ehil imiş her ahvâlde.

İnleyen bir kamış adı ney...

Bitmiş bir çemende,

Kimseler girmez.

Huu diyecek diyemiyor,

Üfleyen olmaz.

Ağlamış;

Göz yaşıyla dolmuş hep içi

Kör kuyunun başında yalnız

inleyen bir kamış adı ney.

You and I

filled the earth

and it overflowed

with lives not lived

just wind in grass

and through leaves

dead but not fallen

we shiver and shake

and loosen our grip

our youth slipping silently

away

I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.

By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

thx, stampolina

For the case you wanna send also stamps - it is possible. (...I'm pretty sure you'll see these stamps on this photostream on flickr :) thx!

Ellen (Strangers 10, Round 3)

Ellen, she showed me her Amnesty International card. "Can I ask you something? I speak to people and tell about the discrimination against homosexuals in countries in Eastern Europe. Do you want to sign a petition? ”. She said that she does this work as a student (she is studying the account manager training) and can thus collect some extra credits in Corona time. I was surprised that by collecting signatures you can also collect credits. It is an alternative to doing an internship. She was not alone, more students were active. I had to sign via her tablet, only that way she got credits. This is the 10th photo from my 3rd round of the 100strangers project.

...and with that I realised there wasn't anything I could do.

It was an odd feeling, a little too much like relief if you ask me, but that was how I felt, and this was the way it was. I asked my Dad for a moment alone, said my goodbye's to my Uncle and then walked quickly away.

I've never been fond of saying goodbye. That awareness of time, emotion and all that you didn't quite appreciate while you had it always hits me far too hard.

Not this time though, this time I was neither in the past or the present and I'll be damned if I could even think of a future. This was now and I was lost in it, I felt gone, wasted as if my life had just slipped out of focus.

Someone asked me recently why I don't like the Shard. Hmm. I love London, I love its climate and architecture. I like that buildings are (were?) not that high, so I can see SUN! Unfortunately prices drive new buildings higher and higher. And now everything is out of glass. And London looses its charm. The Shard represents above and that's why I don't like it... :P

... But it doesn't mean that I won't be taking photos of this beacon!

#3 Real is Emotional

"Why does being real hurt so much?" asked Harper.

"I think humans feel the emotions of nature. It's kind of magical really. The willow weeps, but never sheds a tear, the hyena laughs, but never smiles and the dandelion carries hope yet knows of no tomorrow. Humans carry the weight of nature so nature can be beautiful."

"It is rather tiring Mr. Rabbit," announced Harper.

"That's what power naps are for."

I asked ChatGPT to write a caption for this photo from Sunday afternoon, and this is what it came up with:

"Fly me to the moon! 🚀✈️✨ United Airlines Flight 1844 took to the skies at 34,000 feet and 480 knots, soaring past the 30% illuminated Waxing Moon. A breathtaking moment captured over the Space Coast of Florida. #UnitedAirlines #Boeing737Max9 #Moonshot"

(Picture by me, caption by ChatGPT, flight data by Flightradar24.com)

Quite a tricky capture. Perhaps someone could offer advice on graduated filter usage

I'm finding trees in the woodland captures to be tricky when I want to control my highlights. I'm somewhat happy with the use of graduated filters but does everyone allow the highlights to blow out, or do people underexpose to address in post?

Please if you read my caption could you comment with links to YouTube resource if there is a good one that I have missed.

Huge thanks in advance.

Shortly after we bought our house... "Meow" showed up.. (I seem to be a cat magnet!).. not your average soi cat.. healthy, trim & friendly... we thought he must be somebody's pet.. . we asked around but nobody knew where he came from.. Shortly after I went back to OZ last time he disappeared ... Jampa didn't see him again for 2 months.... until the day I got back! Meow is a sook.. but he gets into scraps too.. his left eye is a bit worse for wear from his night time escapades.... (Meow is the Thai word for cat)

Sitemkar duvarlar...

Sessizlikte size yankılanan sesler karşılardı sizi...

"Bakmak ve görmek senin bu yollarda hayalini

Bana gülüşünü, sıcacık hasretini

Oysa şimdi yok sevdanın timsali...

Yar gitmiş, benden gideli..."

Acıyla tutunan bir söz duyarcasına mihnetle bir bakış şu sokağa...

Bir duyuş sessizliğin hakimiyetini bir bozmaya sebebiyet

..

Bakış ,bir görüş kör olan duygulara...

Bir anlatış dillendirmeye bir haber...

Yapboz olmuştu o an sevdanın külleri

Yürekten döküldü ya bir hüzün gülleri

Meçhule karıştı şimdi kalbin kavisleri

Göremez olmuştu aşkın gözleri...
