From my solo in Kapelica, Ljubljana in 2000. A working Vinylvideo installation with my ASCII films. On the screen is the rotated Tetris as video of Alexei Shoulgins Purple Haze.

On such a lengthy project I think it's important to keep excited about making progress. Note that the grid lines are only "sketched out". Unlike my first attempt at this project, I didn't get bogged down (and bored) completing the grid first.

Watching episode IV through terminal... also, I named my macbook pro Xavier. It just felt right.

Okay, Christmas is pretty much the one time we can live with the servers down for a bit, so a chance to upgrade to the latest Fedora... The ASCII art made by day!

Made during an ungodly, horrifically long and boring conference call I REALLY didn't need to be on but was told my presence was critical.

i found a website that turns photos into ASCII art. A bit retro but quite cool I thought.

This is a photo of the printout laid on the floor of my office before any of the white margins were trimmed. It appeals to me that this is a Flickr photo of a printout of the ASCII representation of a Flickr photo. Now all I need to do is make an ASCII art printout of this photo... :-)

I do still occasionally refer to an ASCII table at work. Todays dev environments and tools make them almost unneccesary so this is partially nostalgia.
