Phil Battle & the Sensible Shoes- formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1984. Played at the Left Bank Bristo, Mathew Street and the Warehouse Liverpool. recorded a demo tape in 1983.
Phil Battle went on to become a successful visaul artist and is still working and based in Liverpool today. Steve Hurley played bass for Elvis Costello.
Does anybody remember seeing this band play live?
A baby injured as an ambulance overturns on the M621 while travelling between Preston and Leeds. The accident occurred at around 8.45am on Sunday morning near the scene of two earlier crashes on an icy stretch of road. The baby was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where a West Yorkshire police spokesman described the infant's condition as serious.

The Home Economics Club hosted many speakers and some of their members like Ruth Dixon and Clara Mason made presentations. Gwendola Williams was nominated to run for state position in Home Economics.

The reporter missed that I am from Phoenix, not L.A.
