The Red Arrows, loved by the British public and senior officers, need no introduction. Their popularity amongst their peers is much less assured, being regarded as a "bunch of prima donnas", and frequently irreverently referred to as "The Dead Sparrows". Matters are not helped by Tannoy announcements such as "Anyone with a car in No. such and such a car park is advised to go and clean their car immediately, as the Red Arrows have accidentally released dyed diesel over the area". Washing lines also got the same treatment. In addition, all flying operations ceased when they went up for their training.
They moved to RAF Scampton in 1983, but moved to RAF Cranwell when Scampton "closed" in 1995. They moved back to Scampton in 2000.
The Cross Arrow ranch has a wonderful and colorful history. From the families that have owned and operated it like Headlee, Holmes and Willits to the guests that have visited like Capone, Siegel and other Cicero strong men. What a wonderful history this Valley landmark has.

Yes, I stole this photo offline.
A very different style of trailed power unit, this is an ex-military Arrows flatbed trailer and skid-mounted enclosed generator. It was built from a Kingfisher Miniatures resin kit, not of great quality as the generator is covered in pinholes, but okay as a load for a lorry or 4x4. In this case it's being towed by a Corgi Toys Land Rover.

Intended to stop people climbing on the roof of Annandale Coachworks in Leith, these arrows create a odd sight..... and now another McBeeb!
This was a really fun dozen to make. Initially I had my doubts about the green on the shafts but in the end it becomes a focal point setting the rest of the color combination off.
Best of all she loves them and they have prompted others to order arrows!
The Fiery Arrow is a small snubfighter. Its low firepower is made up by its speed and manueverability.
