Full Moon Spin in London
A fantastic array of talent shown by everyone who turned up at the monthly fire spin organised by the London Spinners, this event took place in the tunnel under Waterloo Station. A superb evening.
I have skilfully managed to get a neat array of poles sticking out of 'Ettrick' as she takes water at Blisworth Quarry on April 29 1967. Her cheap coat of matt paint applied in 1965 looks much the worse for wear, and notice the craftsman repair to the front spectacle plate, using much more serviceable cardboard rather than boring glass. A split in the cab side sheets caused by rust is the least of her problems. Yet she's steam tight and mechanically in quite good order. These little Hawthorn Leslie engines were very attractive to my eyes.(Copyright John Evans. No unauthorised copying or reproduction.)

I had seen this from the 110 freeway but never knew who put these panels up.

A lot of my work lately has been creating and comparing datasets from professional development workshops. Google Apps Script uses a JavaScript syntax and can pass information back and forth using JSON, so I'm seeing arrays everywhere I look.
Monday Challenge: Lines and angles. Make a picture using line as a strong element of the composition. Horizontal, vertical, diagonal, leading lines, criss-cross lines etc.

I've always found wafers really pretty, so I bought a few scrap ones on ebay a few months ago. Today I finally got a picture that I like out of one of them, and as much as I tried using artificial light sources, just using the sun was the way to go.
Also, in my stupidity, I didn't realize this thing would heat up like crazy in direct sunlight!
Every part of the DEEPSEA CHALLENGER is built to withstand the crushing pressure of the deep.
LED lighting arrays are inserted into the egg-crate-like holders in the side of the sub. Each array has a diaphragm compensating system, which allows silicon fluid to fill any air pockes inside the array.
The LED lighting system on DEEPSEA CHALLENGER is 2.4 metres tall, enabling Cameron to light his way across the seabed and capture the detailed 3D digital footage as he went.
