I love my neighbourhood and the fall is fabulous here, with all the maple trees and others that change colors. This is the backyard view of someone in my neighbourhood from a trail that passes the lake. Isn't it beautiful!

On the way to Fáskrúðsfjörður, located on the same-named fjord, lies between Reyðarfjörður and Stöðvarfjörður. It is one of the easternmost settlements of Iceland. Fáskrúðsfjörður was home to a hospital founded to serve French fishermen working here until 1935. But I was more admiring the fjord’s natural beauty.

Not sure what kind of leaves these are but they are still falling from a tree in our yard and have been since October. Tired of raking them up!
A great tit (parus major) using the vantage point of a thin branch to look around. Photographed in Great Horwood, England.
I have been hanging around on google maps looking for new local places to explore. There is a beautiful lake 2 minutes from this hidden gem and I've been coming to this area for years but I had no idea this place existed. Some of the fall photos look amazing. I'm excited to come back in late October in the early hours.
