The Commanding General’s 2018 Spring Company Commanders Staff Ride took place over 12-14th March and visited the Historical First World War battle sites around Liege, Belgium and Verdun, France.
The Mission of the staff ride was to provide selected Junior Officers a professional development opportunity that was highlighted by senior officer mentoring.
During the staff ride participants were able to walk the terrain of actual battle sites to discuss and examine tactical decision making and the evolution of those tactics as the war progressed. Participants also analyzed the American Expeditionary Forces involvement during the war and gained a greater appreciation of the human dimension of soldiering.
The sites visited included the forts of Barchon and Douamont as well as war memorials such as Voie Sacree, Montfaucon and Montsec as well as the American Cemeteries.
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Thomas Palos finishes first place in a 10k Ruck March during the Installation Management Command, Directorate-Europe's (IMCOM-E) Best Warrior Competition 2020.
The four-day competition began Mar. 1, 2020 at U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart.
On Day 1 of the competition, thirteen competitors from across U.S. Army Europe took part followed by a land navigation course.
The winner of IMCOM-E will go on to participate in the U.S. Army level competition later this year in Texas.

Doyle on Summerall Field, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., June 30. A final well-deserved tribute is the traditional Army way of saying “Well Done” to its retiring members. About 550 U.S. servicemembers from throughout the Republic of Korea converged on Daecheon Beach in Boryeong for the 2009 Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers Beach Blast, June 12-14.
