Drill Sergeant candidates assigned 2nd platoon, Company B exit a CS-gas filled chamber while conducting chemical defense training February 13, 2019 on Fort Jackson. 2nd platoon, Alpha Company pick up day. 120 Drill Sergeant Candidates arrived at the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy to begin training for 10 weeks to certify as Drill Sergeants.

 

9. jūnijā Ādažu poligonā norisinājās starptautisko militāro mācību “Saber Strike 2017” Viesu diena, kuru

 

apmeklēja Nacionālo bruņoto spēku komandieris ģenerālmajors Leonīds Kalniņš, ASV Armijas Eiropā komandieris

 

ģenerālleitnants Frederiks Bens Hodžess, ASV vēstniece Latvijā Nensija Baikofa Petita, kā arī citas augstas

 

ārvalstu un Latvijas amatpersonas.

 

Apmeklējot militārās mācības, viesi novēroja taktisko vingrinājumu, kurā bija integrētas plaša spektra kaujas

 

atbalsta spējas, tajā skaitā kaujas šaušana no Polijas un ASV tankiem, netiešais uguns atbalsts ar mīnmetējiem

 

un artilērijas sistēmām, tai skaitā ar ASV Augstas mobilitātes artilērijas raķešu sistēmām HIMARS, ar kurām

 

kaujas šaušana Latvijā notiks pirmo reizi. Savukārt Itālijas Motorizētās rotas taktisko operāciju atbalstīs

 

kaujas inženieri no ASV un Latvijas bruņotajiem spēkiem, bet gaisa atbalstu nodrošinās ASV Gaisa spēki.

 

Latvijā starptautisko militāro mācību “Saber Strike 2017”aktīvā fāze notiek Ādažu poligonā no 3. līdz 15.

 

jūnijam.

 

Savukārt no 9. līdz 14. jūnijam militāro mācību norise plānota arī ārpus poligona - Amatas, Mālpils, Ogres,

 

Ropažu, Salaspils un Stopiņu novados, kur bataljona līmeņa vienības, pārvietojoties ar bruņutehniku, veiks

 

mācību uzdevumus ar zemju īpašniekiem saskaņotās teritorijās.

 

Šogad apvienoto sauszemes un gaisa spēku mācību vadošā valsts ir Latvija. Mācībās Latvijā piedalās vairāk nekā

 

2000 karavīru no Latvijas, Lietuvas, Itālijas, Norvēģijas, Lielbritānijas, Polijas un Slovākijas, kā arī ASV.

 

Mācību laikā tiek uzlabota dalībvalstu sadarbība, gatavības un kaujas spējas, kā arī demonstrēta sabiedroto

 

spēja ātri reaģēt un pārvietot spēkus visā reģionā.

Militārās mācības „Saber Strike” ir ikgadējas ASV vadītas apvienotās sauszemes un gaisa spēku mācības, kas

 

tiek organizētas jau kopš 2010. gada.

The 2018 US Army Europe Ball took place at Schloss Biebrich in Wiesbaden, Germany on 13 October 2018. The event commemorated 100 years of the US Army in the Rheinland. Attendees were addressed by US Army Europe Commanding General Christopher Cavoli and guest speaker Minister Robert Lewentz, the State Minister for the Interior for Sport & Infrastructure in Rheinland-Pflalz. Latvijā mācību aktīvā fāze notiek Ādažu poligonā no 3. līdz 15.jūnijam. 3 USADSA Drill Sergeant Leaders were promoted to Sergeant First Class during a promotion ceremony 01 April 2019. Promotion to SFC identifies Soldiers as senior NCO's and experts in training and all tasks. Congratulations DSLs Castle Irwin and Mendoza.

The U.S. States Army Drill Sergeant Academy hosted a belting ceremony welcoming 3 new Drill Sergeant Leaders to the Academy ranks February 13, 2019. These DSLs now join the Academy in its mission to teach NCOs how to train the world's finest Soldiers.
