This is the new Arduino Mega 2560. In addition to all the features of the previous board, the Mega 2560 now uses an ATmega8U2 instead of the FTDI chip. This allows for faster transfer rates, no drivers needed for Linux or Mac (inf file for Windows is needed), and the ability to have the board show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc. It also has twice as much flash memory.

Close up of name with new macro lense.

This is a shell that I've doing to an Arduino project. It's been made on a predrilled board and now starts the wiring job.

Arduino and custom grip made from Polymorph. 5 buttons will form a text-entry device similar to the Microwriter or Cykey. Just need some help with the code!!

The Arduino is a microcontroller popular with artists, hobbyists, engineers and tinkerers of all sorts. The "Arduino Workshop" is an opportunity to learn a bit about the microcontroller, how to program it and how to prototype basic circuits.

Open Source physical computing platform.

Upload scripts or "sketches" to the Atmel ATmega168 chip and you can do LOTS OF THINGS! www.arduino.cc/

First test run of my Arduino-based flash trigger. It seems to work fine, and now that I have substituted the photoresistor for a photodiode, it is very sensitive. There are still improvements to make, both hardware and software related, but it works OK for a first prototype.
