Another reflection from a window at City Hall in Handen. Not the same window as last time and not as groovy, but still a reflection.
Suzanne Harris-Brandts is a graduate student at the University of Waterloo's School of Architecture in Canada where she is currently working on her thesis investigating the capacity for architecture to manipulate and dismantle boundary conditions in the Israeli Occupied West Bank. A portion of her recent work will be published in the upcoming book 'Bracket [goes soft]' published by Actar. In 2010 she was an 'Architect in Residence' with Decolonizing Architecture and will be participating in the upcoming Decolonizing Architecture summer residency of 2011.
The big window at City Hall in Handen.I have photographed it before, but figured it would look different closing in on Christmas. I can see eight light candelabras.
These buildings were erected 1928-1930 by architects working for the Swedish cooperative union (Kooperativa förbundet, KF).
