I am not a big fans of Starbucks as I always find their coffee a bit too sour of my taste. When I was planning my trip to Uji, many people recommended me to check this Starbucks out as this is the first one in Uji town.
In addition, this Starbucks is distinguished by very Japanese-style architecture. Also there is a Japanese garden at the back where customers can enjoy. Personally, I think this is a smart move as Starbucks tried to blend into Uji's culture instead of making another "typical-looking" of Starbucks.

One of the biggest highlights for Yasaka Shrine is definitely the paper lanterns. As you walk through the shine, you can see paper lanterns everywhere.
Many people recommends coming here at night as these paper lantern will light up. The whole scenery will be quite stunning. I visit this shrine twice throughout my trip. I have to be honest that at night time, it looks visually amazing! :)

I wasn't planned to do any long exposure during my street shooting but I came to this spot where long exposure will make a good photo. Unfortunately, I encounter couple problems. I didn't bring a tripod and ND filter. It is almost impossible to handheld the camera for long exposure shot.
I decided to to take many shots in slow shutter speed and stack them together in Photoshop. In the end, the result is pretty good even though I had to crop the final photo to align perfectly. X-H1's IBIS really comes in handy as I was able to handheld and get sharp photos with shutter speed of 1/4 of sec... :)

As I was biking pass this monastery last night with a friend, I still remember I came here pretty often as my parents were pretty devoted into Buddhism. The exterior certainly changed quite a bit from what I remember before.
One thing I really love about Buddhist monastery is the architecture design which is very traditional. The combination of modern lightning and traditional exterior make this monastery even better.
