The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, head church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, is located at 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, on the east side of Logan Square in Philadelphia. It was built between 1846 and 1864, and was designed by Napoleon LeBrun, from original plans by the Reverend Mariano Muller and the Reverend John B. Tornatore, with the dome and Palladian facade, designed by John Notman, added after 1850.[2] The interior was largely decorated by Constantino Brumidi.

While not exactly towering in height, I'd still call this Havana's skyline. There are some taller buildings in Havana, but they top out at 121m (397ft). Row of lanterns suspended from the ceiling of Darlington indoor market.

I've just started researching for a new art project inspired by the indoor market in Darlington. This is being co-ordinated in association with the Markets Officer as part of a bid to increase the awareness of the market and try to encourage more people to support the traders and keep the market viable. I spent a wonderful few hours wandering round the market floor and also in the cellars and offices on Friday and hopefully will be returning next week to get access to the Victorian clock tower. I'm really looking forward to working on this but also a little nervous as it is not my usual subject matter and there's a lot to take in. I'm very excited by the architectural details and have already started to visualise some initial ideas for potential etchings and collagraphs based on some of the photographs I've already taken. Could be a long project but watch this space!
