Government House is located at 48 King Street in St. Augustine, Florida, adjacent to the Plaza de la Constitución. The building, constructed of coquina, served as the governor's official residence from c. 1710 during the First Spanish Period, throughout the British Period, and until 1812 in the Second Spanish Period. At the begining of the year I visited a council estate in London with my good friend Martin Turner to photograph it’s rather quirky looking staircase, I would love to lay claim to finding this but all of the credit has to go to Martin for his research.
It was rather tricky to compose, so may different angles and areas of interest, ideally I could have done with a lens that was a millimetre or two wider but I’m happy enough with the outcome.
