Another high key image for the collection of Liege, so many stairs and escalators to explore and so little time.

I went to Hamburg only for two days in December for professional reason. I knew it would not be a good weather, never is at that time of year. Though, it did not matter... Speicherstadt was waiting :) I took my tripod, cam, filters with me and tried my luck at evenings with some long exposures. I took my time to set for well exposed and composed images. Not an easy task with sodium lamps everywhere but enjoyed it very much despite rain falling and wind blowing.

The Oude Kerk (English: Old Church) is Amsterdam’s oldest building and oldest parish church, founded circa 1213 and consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht with Saint Nicolas as its patron saint. After the Reformation in 1578 it became a Calvinist church, which it remains today. It stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district. The square surrounding the church is the Oudekerksplein.

y around 1213, a wooden chapel had been erected at the location of today's Oude Kerk. Over time, this structure was replaced by a stone church that was consecrated in 1306.

The church has seen a number of renovations performed by 15 generations of Amsterdam citizens. The church stood for only a half-century before the first alterations were made; the aisles were lengthened and wrapped around the choir in a half circle to support the structure. Not long after the turn of the 15th century, north and south transepts were added to the church creating a cross formation. Work on these renovations was completed in 1460, though it is likely that progress was largely interrupted by the great fires that besieged the city in 1421 and 1452.

One of two matching surviving shelters on the esplanade above Manly ocean beach (or more accurately South Steyne). The original wooden seats have been replaced but otherwise it's much the same as when it was constructed in about 1940.

The shelters are symmetrical on both axes. I was very lucky to find this side of the shelter, the non-beach side, free of people. It was near perfect weather so the beach was packed. The shelters also often have homeless people living in them.

This was taken lying on the footpath (I'm getting too old for this). As such the verticals of the building and the trees converged upwards. I've altered this and converted it to black and white, boosting reds and yellows and reducing green, cyan, blue and magenta. I've also upped the contrast and reduced the highlights and increased the shadows.

Enjoying the user experience of this lens with the T/S functionality. Still getting used to it and loving the results. One thing to remind myself is not to go crazy on the T/S functionality, it can be overdone. Using this lens at 0/0 setting provides very good imagery, sharp! The 45mm focal length offers a great perspective.

Government House is located at 48 King Street in St. Augustine, Florida, adjacent to the Plaza de la Constitución. The building, constructed of coquina, served as the governor's official residence from c. 1710 during the First Spanish Period, throughout the British Period, and until 1812 in the Second Spanish Period. At the begining of the year I visited a council estate in London with my good friend Martin Turner to photograph it’s rather quirky looking staircase, I would love to lay claim to finding this but all of the credit has to go to Martin for his research.

It was rather tricky to compose, so may different angles and areas of interest, ideally I could have done with a lens that was a millimetre or two wider but I’m happy enough with the outcome.

St Bartholomew's Church is a parish church of the Church of England Diocese of Truro in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The church itself is mainly 14th century.

It was interesting to see the headstones leaning up against the wall of the church and the fence. I assume that the graveyard land has been reclaimed for a new purpose.
