London Bridge was first recorded by Captain Mark Currie who was led to it by an Aboriginal guide during his travels south towards the Monaro in 1823. The arch was formed by Burra Creek channelling through the limestone rock. It was a useful natural feature for crossing the creek. There are also some limestone caves.

Delicate Arch is 60-foot-tall (18 m) freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, USA. It is the most widely recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of admission to the Union in 1996. I had wanted to drive Arch Canyon since seeing some photos of others doing it, here on Flickr. I didn't spend a lot of time planning the route, and consequently, we end up on Arch Canyon Road, which actually drives along the rim, not in the canyon itself. In the end, I'm glad we did. The views into the canyon were spectacular!
We did make it into the canyon later in the day, only to be trapped by a flash flood, which left the canyon road washed out on both ends. Getting out was quite the adventure! More to come.

This arch, in a small iceberg, was spotted from an inflatable Zodic boat, on the way to a landing spot to view the penguins in Antarctica.

The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks. This red rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations, refresh you with its trails, and inspire you with its sunsets.

Arches is such a fascinating place I can't wait to visit it again!
Devil's Garden, Escalante, Utah. I do not know where this name came from, this place in incredible .
Here's a tighter comp of the Yaquina Bay Bridge I posted earlier. It's such a nice looking bridge...with so much architectural detail. It still has the "chameleon effect" going on here with the rapidly setting sun.
Arches are numerous in Utah. This is a large and fine arch we visited. The location is north of Vernal. I reached it after maybe 2 miles hiking, slightly uphill, so the hike got me a bit in the calves.
Length of this arch might be about 40 meters and 15-20 meters high.
A bit difficult to photograph since it is large and close to the rock face on the right. Also it might have been the time of day that the light was bad from a few angles.
I made various photos and also tried to frame the arch with this pine (back against the wall behind the pine and widest angle possible). Maybe I'll upload more photos later, to show a better overall impression, but I have not yet seen this specific take on it in a quick search.
Arches National Park lies north of Moab in the state of Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, it’s known as the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, such as the massive, red-hued Delicate Arch in the east. Long, thin Landscape Arch stands in Devils Garden to the north. Other geological formations include Balanced Rock, towering over the desert landscape in the middle of the park.
This is Landscape Arch, the longest natural stone arch in the world....290 ft long. The thinnest portion of the arch (seen just above the flare) is only 6 ft thick. There are mixed opinions as to how much longer the arch will last. Several large slabs have fallen away from beneath the arch during the 1990's. However, it is believed these may have actually strengthened the arch by reducing weight.
This was another stitched image, involving 3 shots.
