La tour carrée du phare de la Vieille -Ar Groac’h en breton-, s’élève entre la Pointe du Raz et l’île de Sein. Il signale un passage extrêmement dangereux qui se prolonge par la chaussée d’Ar-Men.

C'est une véritable nécropole de navires, justement appelée Ar Véret : le cimetière. Les courants de marée peuvent y atteindre jusqu'à quinze noeuds, et au début du XIXe siècle, en une seule année, 23 bateaux sont partis par le fond.

The trees have yet to bud in early spring 2019 as a helper set shoves a heavy manifest up towards the crest of the west slope at AR interlocking. Unfortunately this train missed the shadows by less than 5 minutes, as evident by sun still on most of the signal bridge. We tried for a few days to get something in good light here, but the timing just never seemed to worked out in our favour.
