And the last day of my "ReColor" series is my Rx7 of course! Featured in yellow and white. Fun fact, these are 2 colors that I was heavily considering before I ended up choosing red.
So why did I choose red? Well, I initially really wanted to build the car in white with red seats. This is one of my favorite combinations that I think works for any cars. I am definitely going to do this for one of my future cars! However, I had to abandon the idea of using white because of the fender arch piece. It has not been in produced in white for years, so you can only buy them used or for new with a really high price. I just couldn't justify that. Alternatively, third party companies do make them in white, but I just didn't feel like using them.
Yellow also looks amazing here, but again this is actually bright light orange, which the fender arch piece is not available in. I could use the regular yellow, but after seeing @3dsupercarbricks's Rx7 in red, which this build is inspired by, I just chose red since it looks amazing!
Overall, I love these 2 colors for my Rx7! I still have the idea of creating different versions of this car, so maybe then I will build it in these colors.
Before we end this off, I want to talk about other colors. Sand blue is a fairly new color that I really like. I have the Lego Bad Batch Shuttle, which is in that color and it just looks so satisfying. I had the idea of building a car in that color, but there are limited pieces at this time. Hopefully Lego makes more pieces available in that color. And let's talk about black. I'm usually not a huge fan of black cars because they blend in with the car's grills and black accents, which is a stealthy look. However, after seeing @tjhunt's Streethunter Supra debut in black, I fell in love with it. Although I prefer the contrasty look, I think I will have to build a car in black in the future!

Introducing my TCP Magic FD Rx7! Fully equipped with aero upgrades and a new billet 20B 3 rotor engine!
After building my Supra, I didn't plan on building the Rx7 so soon. However, it happened because I saw 3dsupercarbricks (3DSCB) release his Rx7. When I first saw it, I was shocked! It was the first time I've seen someone build an Rx7 with this kit. I first saw it in Car Throttle's YT and Superstreet, and I loved how it looked. I think it took less than 3 months to design it, which is the fastest build I've done so far.
Looking at 3DSCB's version, I took inspiration from the front bumper, front fenders, rear fenders, doors, C-pillar, and tail lights. His version is super solid, so I adapted it for my ~1:17 version.
Typically, people with this kit delete the popups, but I decided to keep it. In the second picture, you can see it with the lights up. It's not perfect, so it looks a little sleepy. I'll have to redo it in the future, but for now, I like it down as it looks sleek.
The hood is based on Streethunterdesigns, which was originally designed by @mickeyandrade. The coolest part is the large center vent, where you can see the intercooler through it.
The 20B engine is the highlight of this build. The goal was to make it pop by using metallic silver pieces. The end result just looks beautiful! The gold accents add a nice touch of contrast as well. This engine build has set the bar for me to design future engines.
In the rear, I took the APR wing from my v2.0 BRZ, but used wider wing stands. I added a massive Tomei exhaust, which I love! However, that meant I had to cut the diffuser. I initially wasn't a fan of the large vents from the rear fenders, but they have grown on me. The rear hatch was daunting, but things clicked and it is perfect!
Overall, I think this Rx7 turned out amazingly, and I might just have to create a few more versions.
