Passengers board Caravelle SE-210 10-R EC-BRJ, named Renacuajo III, in the fleet of Spanish carrier Transeuropa CompañÃa de Aviación at Bristol's Lulsgate airport on Wednesday 9th April 1980.
Amazingly, I have some notes about this aircraft's presence at Bristol that day. Maybe I thought I was going to pursue 'plane-spotting too? From those notes I was able to confirm the date, the aircraft type and the fact that it had arrived at 14:15 from Tenerife and returned there at 15:15. However, I had written down the registration incorrectly as EC-BRG. Thanks to ƒliçkrwåy for suggesting the aircraft's true identity.
I couldn't resist the temptation to make a musical reference here. Apron Strings is a track from Idlewild by Everything but the Girl, one of my favourite albums from mainstream music. I believe there is another well-known song with the same title, but in a quite different musical style!

HulaKula 6 1/2 inch heel serving shoes with 1 1/4 inch platforms. A bespoke feature of these shoes is that the ankle straps are held on with leather loops rather than easily cut elastic loops. Maid barbie feels even more controlled than normal because Mistress Lady Penelope has locked the shoes on.
The platforms curve up at the front so contact with the floor is just 5 1/2 inches from front to heel, making her feel unstable. The geometry of these "serving" shoes forces her posture forward so her centre of gravity is only just above the contact area, so she is always in imminent danger of falling over. This makes her take short mincing strides and feel and look vulnerable. The slightest nudge could push her over. To avoid this she must curtsey, and be obedient, respectful, attentive and loyal at all times.
As if this were not humbling enough, the padlocks on the ankle straps can be linked with a hobble chain making recovery from the slightest stumble or Mistress' nudge impossible. A maid is not allowed to sit whilst on duty. Barbie's is also locked into a matching baby pink satin uniform with white apron and a maid's cap. Anyone seeing her is in no doubt that she is there to serve, to obey every instruction, to humbly improve the lives of her betters without a thought for herself. Ask her to run and fetch an item and the hobble chain will make her trot, with her heels clattering out a rhythm against Mistress' tile or wood strip flooring to fulfil your wish.
Between the shoes you can just see the white ribbons which lace the shoes up.
Even un-hobbled, the shoes force a feminine mincing gait and encourage hip movement. Add to this the chastity device she wears and sissy barbie feels completely controlled. I've put on 3 petticoats underneath this dress. It's actually all my petticoats that I have. To give it a nice finish, I've also put a frilly half apron.

This 50 ft. drop is easily the most impressive on the Lake 22 Trail in Snohomish County, Washington. When this was captured to put it frankly the conditions were hell. It was raining all day while we were here, and as usual, the more we climbed in elevation to reach this falls that much harder it started raining. I only wish I would have had a little more time to enjoy it, but I had to move on out, I was getting pretty soaked. Thanks for checking this out. Enjoy!

Housework doesn't get done by itself! So I put on my new cherry white apron. I think it fits perfectly with this skirt. Ok, enough wondering around, lets get to work bye.
Seen on the wall of a outdoor wine tasting/restaurant. I liked the contrast of the strong horizontal and vertical lines with the softer lines of the aprons.
I have a pretty extensive apron collection and it's about time I took them out of the drawer and documented their existence.
My sister is graciously modeling for me cause she's awesome. Sometimes we go a little crazy with the picture takin'.
