“SPACE WORKSHOP — Concept of Saturn S-IVB Orbital Workshop by Douglas Aircraft Company artist shows how giant rocket will appear after it is converted into two-story experimental laboratory in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Apollo Applications Program. The S-IVB stage (right) will be launched fully fueled, carrying the docking adapter and airlock seen in center. These will give astronauts access to the rocket’s liquid hydrogen tank after propellants have been depleted and will provide a “shirtsleeve” environment inside. Astronauts will be launched separately in an Apollo vehicle, rendezvous with the S-IVB and dock as shown at left. Cutaway section of S-IVB shows floor and partitions of lightweight metal grating which will divide the tank into separate “rooms” for astronaut activities without interfering with flow of fuel during launch. The “wings,” panels of solar cells to provide electric power, are folded down against the S-IVB during launch and extended after orbit is achieved. Windmill-like structure against side of the docking adapter is the Apollo Telescope Mount which will be added to the Workshop in second phase of program. Douglas, a component of McDonnell Douglas Corporation, builds the S-IVB at its Missile & Space Systems Division, Huntington Beach, Calif., for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and is making necessary modifications to the Orbiting Workshop vehicle under MSFC direction. The airlock is being developed by the McDonnell Astronautics Company, St. Louis, Mo., under contract to NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center.”

For some reason, unbeknownst to me at the moment, I didn't cite where the above is from...which I used in my black & white version of this photo. WTF? And I don't have it in me to track down.
Beautiful artwork by Neil Jacobe.

Chromolithographic patterns from La Plante et ses Applications Ornementales (1896) by Maurice Pillard Verneuil (1869–1942), French artist and decorator in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movement. Verneuil studied and developed his style from Eugène Grasset, a Franco-Swiss pioneer of Art Nouveau design. Inspired by Japanese art, nature and particularly the sea. He is known for his contributions to the Art Deco movement through the use of bold floral designs on ceramic tiles, wallpapers, textiles, and posters. Through his lively and free application of paint, and by eschewing high finish, Guardi asserts his works are not mere topographic records. His distinctive style produced "magical" effects that captured Venice's unique beauty. Flashes of colour, light and shadow animate surfaces. The scenes are carefully composed, both focused and diffuse: the architecture acts as framework, embellished and enriched by detail - the people strolling, the gondolas, the sails and the masts of ships. Guardi and his workshop painted many such images - in different sizes, some in sets - to meet varying demands of buyers.

I absolutely adore spending time enjoying and experimenting with my feminine transformation. And application of my lipstick is a part of that transformation which I particularly adore.
Apply, blot.. Re-apply, blot.. and repeat, in a carefully choreographed regime of feminine indulgence

No picture can do justice to this work which has a tiny fine texture created by the paint application; it was wonderful to be able to get up close and stare at it for as long as you wanted. I could easily live with this on my walls.

I took this photo a while ago and thought I had posted it but I didn't.
Basically it shows how I apply my stickers. Using this technique it allows me to line up the bottom of the sticker with the bottom of the torso. The only issue that i have sometimes is getting it centered but if you only stick the bottom then you can check the alignment before you place it all the way.
I hope that this helps some of you.

Juanita Vyatri, 29, works as a mobile application developer in Jakarta, Indonesia. She dropped out of college during the third semester to start a business in web and mobile application development with her husband. Now she works at home while her five children are in daycare and school. Juanita Vyatri is a practicing sunna Muslim. She started to wear a niqab, the cloth that covers everything but the eyes, at the age of 19, after meeting her husband.

“NASA ATS III MSSCC 18 NOV 67 153255Z SSP 49.16°W 0.03°S ALT 22240.49 SM”
NASA = National Aeronautics and Space Administration
ATS = Applications Technology Satellite
MSSCC = Multicolor Spin-Scan Cloudcover Camera
“The ATS 3 Multicolor Spin-Scan Cloudcover Camera (MSSCC) represented a significant advance over a similar but monochromatic spin-scan camera on ATS 1. The MSSCC was mounted with its optical axis perpendicular to the spacecraft's spin axis and viewed the earth through a special aperture in the spacecraft's side. The camera consisted of a high-resolution telescope, three photomultiplier light detectors (red, blue, and green), and a precision latitude step mechanism. Light entering the system was focused alternately on a set of three 0.038-mm aperture plates and then passed through various filters to impinge on the appropriate photodetector. The telescope multiplier assembly could be tilted in discrete steps to provide pole-to-pole coverage in 2400 scan lines. East-to-west scan was provided by the spin of the satellite itself. A total time of 24 min was required to scan one frame and 2.4 min to retrace with a nominal satellite rotation of 100 rpm. From its geosynchronous orbit, the camera had a ground resolution of better than 4 km at nadir. The experiment was successful, with ATS 3 being the first spacecraft to transmit operational multicolor earth-cloud photographs. Approximately 3 months after launch, however, the red and blue channels failed, and the system subsequently was limited to producing black-and-white pictures. Good quality black-and-white pictures were received daily until December 11, 1974, when operations were curtailed to three pictures a week. Experiment operation was completely discontinued on October 30, 1975.
SSP = Satellite SubPoint
“The SSP is the point on the earth where a straight line drawn from the earth’s center to a satellite position would pass through the surface of the earth. In this geometry, a person standing on the SSP would observe the satellite to be directly overhead (a direction called zenith).
ALT = Altitude
SM = Statute Miles
Per the official caption of a reissue of the photograph, linked below.
“ATS SYNCHRONOUS ORBIT COLOR PHOTO”
“The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Applications Technology Satellite III (ATS III) has transmitted from synchronous orbit a color photograph of the Earth which officials describe as excellent in quality. The picture represents the best of the first few color pictures taken of the Earth by this satellite from the 22,300-mile altitude. ATS III is located over the equator at 47 degrees W. longitude where its “view” of the Earth shows North and South America, part of Africa and Europe as well as the southeastern part of the Greenland icecap. Antarctica is covered with clouds. The photo shows the entire disc of the Earth, a cloud-covered globe in the blackness of space. It was received at NASA’s Rosman, N.C. ground station November 18 and processed at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md., which has project management of ATS. The 805-pound spacecraft was launched from Cape Kennedy November 5 carrying communications, meteorology, navigation and spacecraft technology experiments. ATS III is the third in a series of five satellites which is managed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Office of Space Science and Applications.”
Ralph Shapiro, in his book “From NYC Lower East Side to NASA Satellite Operations Manager” refers to this exact reproduction of the image, on page 175, as “First picture of the Earth globe taken by a satellite.” At:

Dweorh's have become a common sight throughout the Goodfellow cluster in recent years, having replaced Phayze Fructification's aging W3t series in most commercial mobile frame applications. Like the P81 before it, The Dweorh is one of those products that seeks to please many masters, as it was developed for the civilian market but with a mil-spec feature list, making it powerful, versatile, easy to operate, and reasonably affordable.
Although it is rather small compared to PFi's more recent combat models, it more than makes up for the lack of reach with an unrivaled dependability. Dweorh's can withstand the harshness of any planetary biome, and be easily calibrated for a wide range of gravitational environments. They have been used for logging, loading, construction, demolition, security and even emergency services.

Credit for the shotgun goes to SAMS. I just changed the grip.
I'm aware that people who actually play MFZ and don't just build robots for the hell of it tend to prefer more compact (and less parts-intensive) frames than I typically produce, and I've worried that size-creep had completely consumed me ever since I bricked up my first MCS frame, but I checked the LDD version in my LDD size box (10x10 studs across and 12 bricks tall) and all was good, so I let the matter rest... for a while.
In an attempt to down-size, I started out fiddling with the core of Vitor Faria's adorably awesome Lockon Frame and would up with a tablescrap that quickly took on a strangely endearing form. The height feels just right for a minifig helmet as the head (which you are free to call a cop-out, I don't mind), and the articulation of the arms in pretty nice. I didn't really want to use the reversed knees, but I didn't feel like things lined up right the other way - don't get me wrong, I like the knees this way, I just wish I could have made them look right the other way, too.
I've been considering a line of civilian-use MCS frames for a while (and may still do a few), but the form-factor on this guy seemed to lend itself much better to heavy labor than combat. It's important to note that the Dweorh is NOT out of scale with the MCS - they're just different sizes because they were designed for different roles.
