A small apartment building, now home to a group of brigands. My contribution to the BrickFair 09 ApocaLEGO display.

In the Mission-Cliff Bungalow area of southwest Calgary. Yet another example of concrete used for building, with lesser amounts of steel and wood.

This apartment building is based on a real building in the Netherlands. After a few first tries, I developed an electronic version. When starting the build, I realized it was going to be too big and I had to resize everything (sort of start ver again).
Finally finished it today. Some detailing will happen in the layout, but for now its done.

More views from the apartment we stayed in. You can see the town car park next to us. It was never full when we were there, but I can imagine during the middle of summer it would be full. We had a reserved space under our block.
An apartment block in South Edmonton that looks like it could be in North Korea... Too much concrete gives me amnesia.

Pic from Freckles Chick blog. This apartment is not really my style, but I do like to see how many functions were elegantly fit into a small place.
Just a quick set-up, playing around with my new SPEXA fold-up dollhouse from IKEA. Also pictured- pieces from the IKEA HUSET collection, pieces from the Barbie Loves Jonathan Adler set, and decor from numerous sources.
