For the most part it seems attention has been payed to the abandoned houses in the city of Detroit. That is likely due to the shear number of empty houses within the city. That is mostly due to the fact that Detroit, at one time, had more single family houses than any city in the US besides Los Angeles. Time one was if you lived in Detroit, worked on the line, you owned your house. While the city has never had the number of apartment buildings of say Chicago or New York, the few that are scattered throughout the city are grand beautiful buildings. Sadly, many sit empty these days.

A rainbow appeared during sunset at my apartment. Apartment buildings don't make for great foregrounds, but you don't always have the luxury of being in the right place at the right time. I'm just happy I got to see this great sunset.
The Underwater Apartment (really a skybox) is, in the rp at the compound, situated several dozen meters below the Main House, with windows that look out under the sea. Though with a spartan interior, within the rp, it serves as a very high security location, though a pleasant one. Of screen to the right is a bath and shower, while the other side of the room (below in the picture) there is a raised kitchen and the access door to the rest of the facility.

As these are baby bearded dragon they are too small for a house :D (fans of the show will get this). Photo was taken at my local pet store … Theme, Scales, for Flickr Friday group challenge.
The photo exhibition that my friend participates in is held with an impressive building. Their photograph displayed to the apartment house which it was very individual, and was impressive gave much inspiration to me.

I tried to minimize the stain across the middle. Actually it is probably where the fixitve bath had a bubble or somehow the print was not submerged completely. Old dark room experts will know.
This was part of my Lego club's layout at our exhibition last weekend. We had tons of extravagant once-per-city buildings but almost no housing so I came up with some low-key apartment buildings.
This was The Apartment i Stayed in in 2001. Things are Not BIG in Paris!! I had two small rooms and a Small Bathroom. the other photo is a View from the Back of the Apartment. all in all. i liked it though. wasn't there much. just for Sleeping etc.
This apartment building is based on a real building in the Netherlands. After a few first tries, I developed an electronic version. When starting the build, I realized it was going to be too big and I had to resize everything (sort of start ver again).
Finally finished it today. Some detailing will happen in the layout, but for now its done.
I’ve lived almost of my adulthood in an isolated house, with neighbors’ houses at least 5 meters apart from mine. So, noise, loud music or the nice lady dog ruin my day by putting his dirty paws on my pants in tight corridors was never an issue.
But life is life and a few years ago I moved to a nice apartment. It has his pros, but is has a LOT of cons either!
So, reviving my very first MOC (my own living room) I decided to build this MOC on minifig scale.
It’s dedicated to all the people who lives in apartments and know what I’m talking about :)
The goal was to represent several different rooms. Inspiration came from a pic I saw on the internet a few months ago. Unfortunately I didn’t save the photo and can’t find it anymore, but I kept the idea and thought it would make a good MOC.
It has a living room, a kitchen, a TV room, a laundry room, a home gym, an office and a bedroom. Some technics are widely used and some are new, at least to me!
I didn’t put any minifigs because I wanted this MOC to focus only on the rooms itself.
Again, if you would be so kind to tell me which room is your favorite, I would appreciate! :)
Enjoy
