Found this big muscular guy galloping around on my front step yesterday. I thought the hole in his side was a wound but was informed by someone that it's a breathing hole.

Flower theme - week 692

The theme for Macro Mondays is Anything Goes, which finally gave me an excuse to set up a dried up, wrinkled dwarf pomegranate that my wife Sammy brought in from the back yard several weeks ago, thinking it might make an interesting photo subject. I'm glad I waited so long because the more time that passed the more "character" it developed. This neck-like looking thingy measures a little less than half an inch (12mm) long and looks like a tongue sticking out of some kinda mouth, though I sure don't have a clue as to what kinda mouth looks like this.

My fiancée Danielle, has a whole large display cabinet full of ornamental frogs, of various shapes, types, and sizes.

It has been a lifelong obsession with frogs for her, In which she has been collecting them for many years.

Danielle and her frogs were my inspiration for this week's Macro Mondays theme. "Anything Goes"
