...It's mating season and this younger Bison onlooks and ponders whether to charge another bull for dominance.

As a tiny little part, 1.57 inches, of a cloak, I had the task of serving as a camouflage transport for a wine bottle.
After my services, I was placed in a dark drawer.....and forgotten. While searching for a suitable subject for today's HMM theme, the photographer's eye fell on me. Anxious hope, will she spot me? Hooray she has chosen me as you can see.
I wish you a good day and a successful, cheerful and relaxed week, dear friends. Thank you for stopping by. Be mindful and stay healthy!

Espoir anxieux, va-t-elle me repérer ? Hourra, elle m'a choisi comme vous pouvez le voir.
Je vous souhaite une bonne journée et une semaine réussie, joyeuse et détendue, chers amis. Merci de votre visite. Soyez attentifs et restez en bonne santé !

RKO_3282. The same Northern Goshawk as in the previous images but in this image she is protecting the prey! I left the wasp in the image as it (in my humble opinion) adds something to the photo! Despite the difficult light conditions, I am happy with the result! Enjoy!

Sunflowers are meant to brighten our days. They’re yellow, happy looking and anxious to bring a smile to your face. Having a few in your garden is a must but seeing fields full of them by local farmers can make your day a whole lot better. Smiles can become contagious. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be kind. Gratitude and Kindness grow amongst all the Sunflowers growing everywhere. Why else would so many people want to live in the country admiring all that yellow beauty. Sunny days and Sunflowers bring miles of smiles.
LITTLE FREDDY:
Is it really you?
Are you my big brother Freddy? www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/
I can not believe it. Someone found me in the woods and left me as a foundling at the door of one Marian.
I'm so scared big brother. There's a dog living in that house and you know I've become very afraid of dogs. Only you know why. What should I do Freddy. I prefer to stay in the box.
The weather hasn't been very inspiring for photography - grey, gloomy, and a damp cold. We're waiting anxiously for colder temperatures and snow to get the snowshoes out. In the mean time, it's just cold enough to get a little bit of ice formation along shorelines and it made some interesting patterns.
Please--View On Black----Last post for today--I promise---just anxious to get some photos into my stream----thanks for taking time to look--HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE :-)

Earlier this evening I came across my most favourite and most fascinating artist in SL. Bryn Oh always enthralls me, amazes me and captures me with her work! I took this picture and I bow to her excellence.
Funny, now I am feeling all anxious. Bryn Oh is my idol...
A young Tree Swallow peers out from his nest within the bird box looking for signs of mom or dad, hopeful they will be bringing something to eat.
Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend!
The only tree we have that actually provides us with fruit is this Victoria plum which grows in a sheltered corner of the garden. Every year we anxiously watch as the lovely white blossoms unfurl, and pray that there will not be a frost harsh enough to kill the flowers. If that happens there will be no fruit come September! This year we have had constant frosts, but so far the flowers have survived! So we have fingers crossed for a plum harvest once again!
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!

been feeling super anxious today and I don't know what to do with my emotions so of course I did a picture.

I created this piece during this Corona virus pandemic when we are lock down for quarantine and told to practice social distancing. Yet we are being asked to "stay at home" and "stay calm".
This sketch is based on the photo taken by John.

PERFECT DAY – LOU REED
Reminiscent of an Italian villa
where once I basked in innocence
terracotta roof tiles warmed in the sun
the Summer-esque air filled with luscious scents
orange blossom flowers and lush French cherry
fruit trees of many different kinds
culinary delights; reimagined recipes
to indulge; to experiment with love in mind
the essential oils of citrus fruit
mingled with those of rosemary leaves
that brushed or crushed in loving hands
memories so sweet are now retrieved
brought to mind and savoured in
this paradisal garden
languishing; eyes half-closed; time slips by
shrugging off Winter; clothes discarding
echoing cries of overhead gulls
birds on the wing and wisps of breeze
curling tendrils of my hair
loosening limbs; relax with ease
the pigeon watches me from his viewpoint
a sentinel of all he surveys
how I love this time of romantic notions
that paint pretty pictures of halcyon days
these moments will be one day cherished
and warm my bones in Winter times
for now I am happy and content
luxuriating; pondering in a world that rhymes
there's nothing more poetic than a wildlife garden
all the sounds and smells of nature raw
no need to try; all is forgiving
it is; just is behind closed doors
a secret garden of many rooms
scented with rose and sumptuous blooms
velvety; sensual; grass-filled meadows
wildflowers; small creatures and delicious echoes
there is no room here for earthly worries
no place for anxious thoughts; concerns
all is forgotten in these sweet moments
nature is heavenly; it's where I learn
to live every moment as if it's my last
to begin again without delay
to laugh; to love; to find a balance
I am enjoying this perfect day.

This Ptarmigan was on constant alert to the presence of other male competitors for the attention of his female companion.
The baby is anxious to get out its own. Shortly after this Mom flew to a nearby tree but the youngster didn't have enough confidence to follow....Won't be long.
Farmland abuts one of the local cemeteries. Each year the crops are rotated between soybean and feed corn. This is the corn year. It's just plain eerie to me seeing cornstalks this close to a burial ground. It was one thing back in June when the little green sprigs seemed harmless enough. But now they are taller than me, and parched, bleached, dead and dry, awaiting harvest. Between now and then, they rustle in the slightest breeze, and sway about. The effect is somewhere between theatrical and primordial terror. I slide up and down the scale depending on my mood, time of day, and the overall feel of the atmosphere. On balance, my imagination tends to tip me over to the dark side more often than not. When that happens, visuals such as this tend to result. Strong reinforcement of the feeling that I'm being observed by blind, but all-seeing eyes.
