The riddle of the Sphinx.
'What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, and three legs in the evening? ' The answer? Man, who crawls as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and uses a walking stick in his twilight years. In Greek mythology Oedipus correctly answered this prompting the Sphinx to inexplicably drown herself.
More famously these days, American tourists naturally ask why the ancient Egyptians built the Pyramids so close to Macdonalds. The good news for them is that Pizza Hut is now even closer, easily accessible to men of any age. In this photo Pizza Hut is just a few steps behind me.

Opening party 10:00AM SLT
If you know what I mean, all my Flickr pics are just square.
I love that format so much.very very...
But sometimes there is definitely a voice in my hart that wants to be wider more.
Maybe... you also want to see a not square pics?
This time, Akim has given me a opportunity of new challenge.
So,I discovered new enjoyment for creating works, and had a great experience.
I'd be happy if you could find such new joy in my work and let it move you.
Thank you for Akim Alonso and all of you as support me always.
We will have an opening party.
But it's midnight for me(3AM).SL has no borders, but we can't change the time difference.
The earth is round. And it's so large. The best answer is hard to find.
So, we are diverse. Let's enjoy the difference too.
I would love to meet you all, but if I will be silent at the party, please kindly step on my tail.
Hugs and Meow =(^.^)=

Thank you, everyone, for the comments and faves to my posting last week of Salthenge. There were many questions from that shot, so I wanted to take time and answer for everyone.
Today's view of Salthenge includes two folding chairs to give it scale.

Q: Who created it?
A; Still unknown. I am betting on aliens, and its a secret signal
Q: Where are the footprints?
A: Further proof of aliens......this section of salt is rock hard and not like beach sand. Many areas of the lake has loose / soft salt that is fragile, but this area is sunbaked hard, like concrete.
A bigger problem is tracking dirt/sand on the salt and leaving those dirt footprints (I was extra careful)
Q: Where did the rocks come from?
A: Aliens or an area of rocks about 66 meters / 216 feet away
Q: How large is this?
A: Did my photo today help give it scale? Maybe I should let you know those folding chairs are 12.7cm /5 inches tall :-) No drone involved, just the mini chairs and my Sony a7iii :-)
Q: How long will it last?
A: Humans create things, and just as fast, they destroy things. It becomes much harder to take apart if it lasts a few months as the salt will act like concrete holding them in place.
Q: How big are the rocks?
A: The largest one is maybe 6 inches / 15cm. The entire circle is about 2 meters / 6.5 feet
Q: Roy wants to know why comments are always off
A: Roy, they are only off for you :-) No one else has this problem.

♫ Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round ♫ (Because he kept humming this song...)
Taken at Faded: LANA~
Beautiful music was playing across the hidden ethereal forest. It felt like an awakening dream to be drawn towards haunting tunes. Her steps were light when she spotted the figure playing on the old piano.
The fog around them thickened while she sat next to him and just enjoyed the music he was creating.
"Sleep a little." He said, "You seem tired."
"How did you know?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
He didn't answer and just continued the enchanting music until she couldn't stay awake and stole the chance for a little sleep.
P.S. Thankkk you Kaii for doing this photo with me. :D find his version in his awesome talented stream.
Thank you very much for your faves and comments!
I can't write answers at every time, but I always appreciate very much your time!
The question of the month is always : will there be leaves on the trees on May 1st or not. Three weeks ago we all thought that the answer was easy and there would be naked trees at the beginning of May. The warm end of April led to an explosion in nature and today we face a green paradise in our fields, gardens.
The answer on "What is that"
This is a LED light in the shape of a leaf
There are several leaf lights on a cord
Some ancient call
That I've answered before
It lives in my walls
And it's under the floor
If this was meant for me, why does it hurt so much?
And if you're not made for me, why did we fall in love?
A knock at my door
I thought I was alone
Unaware of what I've thought I needed
I dropped like a stone
If I'm not mistaken, then I was the last to know
And if you return for me, I'd never want for more
You're dislocated
Don't be like that
And you smile when you dive in
Like you're never coming back
So hold my body
Yeah, hold my breath
See your face when I black out
I'm never coming back
I thought that it was obvious what my detail photo showed yesterday but it wasn't. We all see different things and have different associations when we look at things. Thank you for all your comments
Monsoon, a glorious word. It is not an overstatement to say the entire west is on fire this year. It rained today, hard, soaking, drenching rain.. worth dancing in rain.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. - Abraham Lincoln, 1838

Is the worst over - covid-wise? At least here, in the UK? Can we relax and sit back for a while? Not frantically booking future holidays in a kind of frenzy of self-rewarding, but breathing in and out deeply, thinking of what makes life worthwhile - here and everywhere else? Now, when our own lives are no longer threatened, can we begin to mourn the about 130 000 people who died in the UK from the pandemic?

Trying to catch up my delay ... (which is still very big) ... but I need to post a new photo from time to time ...
Thank you in advance for all your faves and comments. I might answer several WEEKS/MONTHS later. And I might post several photos in the meantime.
Here is a 1st photo of our 2022 summer vacation of 20 days in the Alps. I had never hiked as much as this summer (18 days out of 20 days of presence) because exceptionnally in 2022, there were very few storms, very little rain and a lot of sun (but there were often clouds without rain too).

On many a hike I've pondered (yes, aloud) why am I doing this? On most of those occasions there has been a payoff of some sort. Today was something different. When I neared the pinnacle of the trail to Silver Falls and was hit by a sudden chill in the otherwise oppressive heat of the dense forest that I'd been traversing I knew that I'd found the falls that I sought. The moment that I topped the hill into the clearing facing this marvel is difficult to explain. I picked up the camera two years ago and ever since have tried to convey the beauty around me and today I stumbled upon a place of indescribable, soul wrenching, heart surging, peace inspiring beauty like I've never seen. This photo can not convey the sound of the boulders being heaved, the pounding of the flow as it raced by, the sheer knee shaking euphoria that one gets from standing here and witnessing this force of nature. Everyone in the world should stand right here for ten minutes, if they did there would be no more strife.
Silver Falls, Ohanapecosh, Washington State. USA.
hahahaha!! John Westrock came up with this, enjoy while viewing. :-) youtu.be/Qo3OM5sPUPM
