This is the virgin digital advert with the extra inch or two "glued" on the left. I've commented this picture to list all 74 bands. 311 and D12 are a bit tenuous. Will have to wait for Virgin to release the results to see how close I was.

Thanks for all your comments and faves, much appreciated as always.

When herring swim the mountain lake

when their feathers sink like stars

when blackbirds fish the salt-sea wave

and the rabbit picks at the buzzard’s heard

when seals come walking up from the bay

and nightfall begins with the morning dew

when the daffodils open on Christmas day and you see

a crow as white as a dove

I will return to you, my love, I will return to you.

Shigatse (Xigaze), whose name translates as Best of the Land, is Tibet's second city. Like Lhasa, many of its ancient lanes and quarters have been transformed to serve socialist ends; the resultant look is hardly spiritual. Its streets are broad, its concrete buildings low, and it sprawls rather than bunches like a Tibetan town. Aside from the stunning Tashilhunpo Monastery, there is little other than a lively market to spur one to explore its streets.

The story of this image was happened in Ang.95, my first time to Tibet. You know the Tibet New Year is normally held at February, a big thangka will be moved from Tashilhunpo Monastery to thangka wall and open to let Tibetan solemn worship, pray for the coming year, weather conditions, crop harvest, the village people happiness and healt...... Riot was happened at that time in year 95. The question was who seat of the Panchen Lama ? Then the significant performance was closed immediately. Not like now, all the news was closed; nobody knows what had happened at Lhasa or Shigatse.

Planned be there after 6 months.... Ang.95. Actually we didn't know the significant performance to be held again. If I didn't get permit before, I couldn't get the plane to Tibet even brought the ticket. As in front of the Tashilhunpo Monastery there was a lot of police/soldier. I and Europe tour were waited outside the monastery since at 8:30 in the morning. A big thangka had already put in the thangka wall. Time went out minute by minute. I knew the thangka must be moved back before 12 o'clock. Went to request again and again...... the answer was still waited. After more than 2½hrs we were allowed to take a short visit to the monastery. Yeah! Some police were jointed with us..... said protection.

I thought I could visit Tashilhunpo Monastery in the coming day. I couldn't miss the shot for the thangka. I should try all methods I could. During all European visitors went to the Tashilhunpo tower, I got back to the thangka wall. As closing to the thangka wall more and more police were met. No longer I was stopped by a senior inspector..... no-body would be allowed closed to the thangka. I got to explain/request..... , even called back my Tibetan guide to explain detail. At the end he let me go to the thangka wall to take shot. Just stood at the thangka wall about 5mins, I was action driving away because the lama said they had to remove the thangka back to the monastery.

So, the above image is the last shot at the thangka wall. At the past decade year I haven't seen any similar photo got a close shot to lama with thangka at Tibet. Yeah! You may find similar one, but not inside Tibet, such as my other shot www.flickr.com/photos/samho_my_shot/2812224255/ .

This photograph is a following to my previous upload. They are part of the same series 'Does it seem like I am looking for an answer' - A series I made for my current university module 'Documents and Fictions'.

The original inspiration for this project came from personal insecurities, experiencing being around close friends/family struggling with forms of mental health issues and from the vast amount of articles, video’s and photographs in which we are exposed to everyday – discussing and forcing particular ideologies and practices onto women and beauty. During the research process I was highly inspired by photographers such as Elinor Carucci and Jenny Saville. Although the body of work seems to not withhold similar styles or aspects to their works, both curators’ work encouraged the process towards the final body of work.

(If you want to find out further information about the body of work, check out the photograph before this one and keep coming back for the rest of the series to be uploaded. Each photograph will have further information. OR visit my website where further information and the whole body of work is together - www.kacieball.co.uk )

It's a sign on a train platform. It is to alert people not to get closer to approaching or passing train to avoid possible injury or accident, especially designed to notice visually impaired people when using white cane. In Japan we find this kind of sign not only on train platform but also here and there in town to help their wayfinding.

I have received a lot of questions about the show, so I will try to answer them all now in hope that it will help other unsure about something and did not message / ask me about it.

- The show is OPEN CALL, anyone can send in stickers

-Everyone's artwork will be displayed

-The address to send you packs in is:

TATTOOED MOM

P.O. BOX 63833

PHILADELPHIA, PA, 19147

USA

- the cut off date for submissions is SEPTEMBER 13th,

-If you live in the area you can drop off your sticker packs at the door of Tattooed Mom on South st.

-The show is called CHARACTER WELCOME because because of the high volume of character based graffiti sticker art here in Philadelphia

BUT!!! - any sticker artwork is acceptable. It DOES NOT have to be a character!!!

-Hand drawn, stencils, prints, screen prints- they are all acceptable

-The plan now is to cover the walls of the bar, and also combo wooden panels that after the show will be put up throughout the city.

-2 professional photographers will be at the show, so it will be well documented and you will be able to find photos with your work in them. We are putting a lot of emphasis on the documentation as to not disappoint anyone. Nobody wants to send stickers to a show and not see pictures of their artwork in the combos and stuff.

A Late Answer

Tang Jie served the Lord zealously for nearly forty years and expected the return of the Lord Jesus eagerly all the time. Having given up her family and her career, she established many house meeting places. As the work of the Holy Spirit shifted, the church became desolate gradually. She tried every possible way to revive it, but in vain. During this process, God’s gospel of the last days came upon her church. To “defend the Lord’s way,” she wrote a pamphlet to fabricate rumors against, slander, and attack Almighty God’s work of the last days, and sealed her church to hinder the believers from listening to the messages. However, increasingly more believers returned to Almighty God. At the end of her tether, Tang Jie fell into misery, confusion, and helplessness….

He is the perfect example of loving his own music so much he totally zoned into his world. I saw him back on Main Street Car Free Day; I must say that he is a great music performer.

He was able to attract a big crowd to listen to his music. In the end, this is what music is about :)

Answer me quickly, Lord;

my spirit fails.

Do not hide your face from me

or I will be like those who go down to the pit.

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,

for to you I entrust my life.

Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,

for I hide myself in you.

Teach me to do your will,

for you are my God;

may your good Spirit

lead me on level ground.

[Psalm 143:7-10 NIV]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

And if so what is the question

Since it is 10/10/10 I thought I would do a related post, now the non geeks out there may not get this so let me explain

101010 is binary for 42, which for fans of Douglas Adams books will understand what that is the answer for

I also tried to meet todays dailyshoot.com assignment of "Create a photograph with a distinctly asymmetrical composition today. Pick your subject carefully to go with the theme. "

I am happy with my creativity here but not with the shot, but after a few tries this is the best I could get

Also I included two Nickels as people born on 10/10/55 will have turned 55 today

"The Regiment of Trees (2017-2019)

Carved by Patrick Walls from Hill House Edge sandstone, The Regiment of Trees commemorates Lord Kitchener’s inspection of troops – all from the 2nd London Division of Kitchener’s New Army – on Epsom Downs in January 2015. Twelve figures stand among a mix of native broadleaf trees, evoking stories of the harsh blizzard conditions in which the 20,000 volunteer soldiers waited for Kitchener’s arrival, some not even fully kitted out. Together, the sculptures and trees create a living tribute to the civilian men who answered the call to join Kitchener’s New Army." - The Woodland Trust

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She went for a walk in the forest. Pretty soon, she came upon a house and knocked. When no one answered, she walked right in.

On the table there were three bowls of porridge so she tasted the porridge from the first bowl. "This porridge is too hot!" she exclaimed. She tasted the porridge from the second bowl. "This porridge is too cold," she said. She tasted the last bowl of porridge. "this porridge is just right," she said and ate it all up.

After she'd eaten the breakfasts she decided she was feeling tired so she walked to the living room where she saw three chairs. Goldilocks sat in the first chair, "This chair is too big!" she exclaimed. So she sat in the second chair. "This chair is too big, too!" she whined. Then she tried the smallest chair. "Ahhh, this is just right," she sighed. But just as she settled down the chair broke into pieces!

Goldilocks was very tired by this time, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She lay down in the first bed, but it was too hard. Then she lay in the second bed, but it was too soft. Then she lay down in the third bed and it was just right. Goldilocks fell asleep.

As she was sleeping, the three bears came home. "Someone's been eating my porridge," growled the Papa bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge," said the Mama bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge and they ate it all up!" cried the Baby bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair," growled the Papa bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair," said the Mama bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair and they've broken it all to pieces," cried the Baby bear.

They decided to look around some more and when they got upstairs to the bedroom, Papa bear growled, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," "Someone's been sleeping in my bed, too" said the Mama bear "Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still there!" exclaimed Baby bear.

Just then, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears. She screamed, "Help!" but Papa bear grabbed Goldilocks, hung her on a wooden post and said.....

"That's dinner sorted"!
