The patience pays off... some times. After a number of days and an untold number of hours of waiting for the action... finally, it happened. The resident osprey flew back to his favorite perch on the top of "the osprey tree" with the fresh catch of the day: spotted bay bass @ Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve

The elegant tern emerges after the fish dive with a tiny silverside topsmelt in her beak. The late afternoon light throws a shadow of the fish in the beak on the tern's wing... @ Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.
There appeared to be a runaway hiding in the park when I went for a walk, of course he thought he was well hidden behind the tree as he watched me pass by, I guess he had not looked in a mirror to see his flaming red comb against the green grass was not cammo.
My hamster Chi-Chi, safe in her ball house and Lu-Lu the cat are watching what??? LoL,.. what could the three amigos be thinking?
After having a few quick bites mom peregrine falcon will deliver the second breakfast of the day to the chicks in the nest...

Last #macromondays theme has been animals. As some of you might know....i am usually attempting severall ideas before i finalize which one goes into this fantastic marco group.
As for the last theme i also imaged the catwalk in front of an pretty old manual camera.
Size of the cats must be around 28-30mm aprox.

Came across this chattering little chipmunk hiding up in the leaves and so I had to quietly and quickly get out my camera and get the shot... we chattered back and forth and this little fellah, all of a sudden noticed I was still and staring at him... he became still and stared right back! Gotcha! Lol, so cute!
