Another photo I thought might work as a black and white but the blue sky was too appealing :)
So I was in DC and happened to pass by the Canadian Embassy. I think the angles and comp work, and the flag offers an extra bit of color, plus context. I did do a little work on the sky, as it was quite dreary out. Also reduced noise.

Unconformities are surfaces of erosion and/or non-deposition of sediments. Types of unconformities include disconformities, nonconformities, and angular unconformities.
Seen here is an unconformity representing about 165 million years worth of missing time. Light brownish-colored gravel of Quaternary age has been deposited atop structurally-tilted grayish and dark reddish beds of Middle Jurassic age. The contact is a angular unconformity (= sedimentary over sedimentary, with tilted or folded layers below).
Stratigraphy of tilted beds: Arapien Formation, Middle Jurassic
Locality: mouth of Salina Canyon, south-southeast of the town of Salina, Sevier County, central Utah, USA

The Denver Art Museum. Titanium coated and angular, it's probably one of our most prominent landmarks in downtown Denver. Lots of fun to shoot, too.
