This building was built in 1930 along an Amsterdam School design to house the merchant marine school "Abel Tasman".
I have a landscape version of this work in green, that is displayed as a portrait, and this version that is in landscape. They both represent an argument that I was having with myself. There are angular profiles that are facing each other in this work. 18" x 24"

A walk along to a new shopping centre in the City of London was interesting. More for the architecture than the standard chain of shops inside.
In between uploading more pictures from the Spoutwood Farm Fairie Festival, I wanted to upload this image from my mother's house (it being Mother's Day, I was there). Next task: buy her new sheers to replace these unraveling ones.
El ábside posee un zócalo abocelado inferior y una triple imposta baquetonada que corre a lo largo de todo el tercio inferior del tambor, prolongándose hacia el presbiterio rectangular. El hemiciclo presenta tres paños pautados por dos semicolumnas coronadas por ingenuos capiteles. Las semicolumnas arrancan de alto pódium y portan basas áticas de profundas escotaduras y lengüetas angulares.
El paño central aparece perforado mediante un ventanal de medio punto con pieza superior tallada sobre un único bloque. El vano se complementa con finas impostas de listel y dos excelentes capiteles zoomórficos. El tambor absidal e datable en su conjunto hacia los últimos años del siglo XII.
