Disassembly of Picardy French Canadian wheel. The flyer whorl, shaft and bobbin appear to be reused from an older wheel. The shaft is bent and needs straightening. The flyer is newer. It shows very light wear. Hooks on one side only. The maidens have been rotated. Wheel once had leather bearings to hold flyer. Saw marks on wheel base and wheel rim are smoothed down, but do not eliminate the saw marks. The leather bearings in wheel uprights need replacement. Wheel shows heavy wear. Built very sturdily. Two ply handspun wool yarn leader below 4 ply commercial worsted on bobbin. The bobbin holder thing base is satin smooth from wear and fits the table hole perfectly. No tension adjustment for wheel band. Unless the missing bearings were used for that. Flyer must jam on. The whorl jams on.

Jimmy Adcock analyses the geophysics results on his laptop in the incident room. The Oakham dig proved to be resilient to this technique given the mass of detritus under the surface. Jimmy is the assistant of John Gater who has been a regular on the show who has to regularly defend his findings from the numerous skepticism of the archaeologists.

Made this word burst analysis graph for #IVMOOC, and now I have ideas for work.

Fascism is a complex socioeconomic phenomenon, but certainly on its psychological side it cannot be understood without reference to anxiety, and particularly to the phases of anxiety which Fromm discusses, namely the feeling of isolation, insignificance, and powerlessness of the individual.

Lest someone get the wrong idea, I feel the need to add an explanation here. I got this picture when taken by someone, unbeknownst to me, to a concert with lots of neo nazi's at it. It was disturbing, to say the least. This was one of the banners there.

I used to park up the hill, at the general parking lot used by both service workers (food, sanitation, mechanical) and tourists. That lot is very mellow, almost pleasant.

I now park in an white collar parking lot. It's a mad-dash. Lots of speeding and goads of parking strategies like those shown above. It's a funny thing because you know that once one person does it, others will follow.
