I met with my original mentor in rail photography in the form of Ron Kosys on this bridge today. He had informed me that I had missed IT (6D44) in his usual amusing way. It had gone main line this time so my standing on steps to prepare, without prior knowledge of this, would be fruitless. Where's the Daventry he then asked, "Oh. you have missed it Ron" I retorted. He had but it is the sort of tit-for-tat humour that we often share.
The reason for telling this story is because I left him to move to Lea Marston for the regular mainline passing of 6G65 whilst he hung on for a, by now, backlit shot of a container train coming from the Coleshill direction. Whilst waiting at Lea Marston 'Cams showed greens for the section through Kingsbury so I assumed I was right to be at Lea Marston. This then showed as being in the section between Kingsbury and Whitacre forcing me to dash back thinking "Ron, you've got one over me after all!". Thankfully, I got back in time, just to capture this.
It is unusual for it to come this way but I know it also did so on Thursday whilst running mega early.
It was great to have a long session with Ron today

Becky works full time and enjoys Young Farmers (it is a rural youth organisation) in the evening. She was on a two day shopping trip with her mum. Having spent the first day in Bath, they were now enjoying Clarks Village, in Street.
I had first seen Becky and her mum go in to Levi's earlier. I had waited a while for them to come out. They must have left the shop in the opposite direction because after sitting outside of the shop for some time, I went in to check and they were not there. I have asked people, in shops, before, if I might "take their photo, when they have finished". It seems a bit intrusive though, to pounce on someone in a shop, so I didn't do it today.
Later I spotted Becky again. This time headed toward me and on her own. She said yes, when I asked if I might take her photo. I asked if it be OK to walk a little to somewhere we could sit. We went back to the very benches, where I had almost met Becky earlier.
When I asked Becky what she really likes. She said "the sea". Living near the sea, in North Cornwall, is great for Becky. I got the feeling that Becky was faintly amused by my request to photograph her and by the whole experience. Nevertheless she was a good sport and followed my directions with a smile [or without a smile when we tried non-smiling shots]!

Aladdin's Oasis in Adventureland is a little venue that I have not had the pleasure of visiting either in its prime as a Dinner Theater or later as a Storytelling Place, and sadly, now it seems to be just a placeholder at the exit queue of Jungle Cruise...
From "Yesterland", www.yesterland.com a favorite webpage of mine dedicated to preserving the history of Disneyland through photos and stories comes this amusing quote:

Regardless of its current status, Aladdin's Oasis is a beautiful little building tucked in between Enchanted Tiki Room and Jungle Cruise. It begs a photo, so I hope that I did it justice...
